I don't think you can. The 2.0 has some security type things that won't allow you to run "home brew" type things on them....I'm sure you knew that already though :)

Hi, You can definitely "update" the firmware to an older version, like say 1.5 or lower even. Or you could get a PSP mod chip, which will let you use any kind of firmware you want, without ever having to risk loading the wrong firmware on your PSP console. Because with the psp chip, you will not have any issues when using a different firmware, as the PSP will retain the original firmware, and your PSP chip will have the firmware to let you play all homebrew games, etc.. Check the source box for details on the psp chip.



As for the psp firmware downgrade, you can go to a place like psphacks.com and they have the info on how to downgrade the firmware for you.

i thought once you've upgraded for new games they stay upgraded thus not being able to down grade sorry dude

forget what these guys say. you CAN DO IT (i know people who have). but it aint really easy. you need to hack into it or something...
