Hunters can make gold pretty quickly with gathering professions.

My hunter took skinning and mining up to level 40. And when it came time to buy her mount I already had 200g.

With my characters, I take the gathering classes up to usually lvl 40-50 before switching to a money hog class like blacksmithing or leatherworking.

I have a lvl 48 hunter on the Aman'Thul Server and am sitting on a fat load of gold. Here is my sugestion.

1) Gather only... skin,mine,herbs,cloth,enchanting.

2) Get the auctioneer addon ( www.auctioneeraddon.com ) to maximise profits.

3) Under cut on everything you sell. Why because items that are cheap will sell while the others that are at or above the maketprice won't and will end up back in the sellers mail box. Your undercut ones will sell almost every time.

4) If it stacks don't put it on till you have a full stack. Full stacks sell faster than partial ones.

5) If the market if flooded with your items try to sell it in trade chat (rember to under cut the AH)

If this is the char you will be playing the most i sugest mining and enchanting. Why enchanting well mainly for the Binde on Equip drops and those greens you just can't get to sell. Usually the regents you get from DE them will sell for more on the AH than the vendor price. Also as a bye product you might be able to give your self or your low lvl guildies some decient free enchants.

Good luck and happy farming.

Personally, what I did, and it worked really well on the Llane server......farm the heck outta linen cloth and copper ore. Sell em on the weekends ONLY and with luck, you can sell the linen for about 75silver x20 and the copper ore for 2-3g x20.

Any way you try it, its going to take some patience and work. Like others suggested, you could try skinning or herbalism...but I find that herb sucks because of the randomness in the drops/nodes.

Skinning isnt too bad....if you go to the pig farm just outside of Stormwind, you can clean house there on light leather. For Horde, try the piggies and scorps outside of Org.

Back in the day, you could ride the Savory Deviate Delight train to the bank everyday.....but that stinks now. However, if you can, try getting yer secondary skills up and cook +stat food. Whenever I go out and grind, I always check the AH for that stuff, as I was too lazy to do it myself :P

Hope that helps a bit. Good luck!

Gold isn't easy to get at your level, otherwise the economy would be ridiculously inflated. You'll need to work for it, as the others above me have mentioned. Get a trade skill, such as mining and skinning, as they seem to have the highest earning potential. Otherwise just grind away on green-level monsters until you build up a fat purse... but that will take a while at level 11.

you have to work for it.

you could get up a few more levels and run an instance and auction house the loot.

you could build up one of your secondary skills and gather flowers or leather or minerals but if you combine that with making skill you can increase even faster

for example, do flower picking and alchemy and make heal pots etc then sell them in the AU

While you are leveling pick up gathering professions like mining/skinning/herbalism.

As you level, gather and sell the goods on AH.

Take up professions, sell things at the AH, and mostly farm.
