What to do when "error illegal start of token [>]" comes up on crunchyroll?

Pls help me ... I was in the middle of
An anime series and then it said " error illegal start of token" and now it won't me even open the app :(

I tried asking for help but it said something like come back later and stuff :( I'm really sad that I can't continue watching the anime series 😭 but thank you for helping x

Hi! I've had that problem before and I just kept pressing retry.This worked for me. Hope this helps you.

You are getting this error because crunchy keeps track of where you are up to during an episode. Some times the crunchy roll server screws up and saves the scrub b4 the anime An start.

Delete the app and reinstalled it. Log back into your crunchyroll account. And removed the anime that has been causing the error from your que list (make sure to remember what Episode u were up to b4 u remove it). Then just search for the anime again. And re-add it to ur que list.

This is also happening to me also and I'm here trying to get some help so I thing the other answer may be right that crunchyroll might help or maybe crunchyroll is doing something I don't know so my apologizes if this doesn't help you cause I'm also at lost here

I was just getting the message as well. then, went on the website and they where doing Maintenance.
