Error when trying to log into games reads "Access denied because not able to authenticate user ID". Why?

Go down to the bottom where you can type in the lounge and when I typed down there it let popped up and let me in and I have been getting that same message for over a day now. I know it sounds weird but it worked for me...

If "we go through this every month or so" is Yahoo worth it? Is there an alternative? I'm fed up with this! Their advertisers profit, we get the short end. I wish Google, MSN and the boys had a network as open and social as Yahoo. I'd ditch them like a bad Date....

It is a problem with yahoo, because some of their games are showing 0 players and that is how the numbers show when yahoo is doing maintenance or having server issues......bites though when you are trying to find something to do to pass the time.......hang in there guys we go through this at least once every month or so.

i get the same problem ( i assume u mean yahoo ) ... i wrote yahoo who replied with a useless answer ... i think the problem is something to do with my browser settings, tho i've adjusted them with no luck ... i developed the problem first a long time ago, then it vanished after i reinstalled my operating system because of virus damage ... but the problem has since returned, perhaps because of downloaded upgrades to windows or internet explorer or something ... i don't know, but i think if i were to reinstall the operating system, it would go away

My guess is they are having trouble with the server i had the same thing happen

I think it is a problem with Yahoo. I played Literati about an hour ago and everything worked fine. Then I tried to play again I got "cannot authenticate user ID" ad then "Error connecting to the server". I think they must be having problems with their server. It happens often.
