To play Crysis you must have,

"Minimum System Requirements

OS - Windows XP or Windows Vista

Processor - 2.8 GHz or faster (XP) or 3.2 GHz or faster* (Vista)

Memory - 1.0 GB RAM (XP) or 1.5 GB RAM (Vista)

Video Card -256 MB**

Hard Drive - 12GB

Sound Card - DirectX 9.0c compatible

* Supported Processors: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista) or faster, Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista) or faster, AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or faster.

** Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. Integrated chipsets are not supported. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.

Nice PC you've got there. It will play Far Cry 2 and Flight Simulator well, and you may even be able to bump up the quality quite a bit and still run smoothly.

As for Crisis, it was only developed to run on super fast computers. You can probably play it on lowest quality and have good performance, and maybe bump it up a bit, with some bullet traveling lag, which can make it quite hard to play. I know a guy with a PC that has 6 or 8 GB ram and you have to over load the thing for it to run max quality smoothly.

Fortunately there was a new game or expansion, or something where you can tone it down to play better or run on slow computers. For your information, Farcry and Crysis are just showy engines with hardly any story at all and hardly any innovative gameplay.

That's a nice laptop you're getting.

Onto the question, Crysis is a pretty demanding application and you could be able to clear it with lowest settings with minimal lag. Just remember to close all background applications when playing it.

Far Cry 2 is a medium demand game. I have it and it's smooth on high settings but I have 8 gigs of RAM so it's hard to tell :). In your case, it should run fine on medium settings with perfect smoothness (about 30 frames per second.)

Flight Simulator X is a fun game which I happen to have. On low settings it's not demanding at all and I assume you'll be fine with medium settings.

Good luck in your new laptop purchase and do more research on the individual components of the laptop (e.g. Graphics Card, CPU...) and make a uniform decision then. Happy Holidays!

Hi, I'm no expert but I am a pretty hardcore gamer and I know pretty much what is needed of a computer/laptop to game.

The specs for the laptop you listed is (these are mainly the specs that you look for in a laptop if you intend to game with it) is:

Processor : Intel® Core™2 Duo

Processor Speed : 2.2GHz

Graphics: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD

System Memory (RAM) : 4GB

Type of Memory (RAM) : DDR3

Cache Memory : 2MB on die Level 2

Hard Drive Type : SATA (5400 rpm)

Computer Hard Drive Size : 500GB

Video Memory: Up to 1759MB (Intel® Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0)

And for Crysis:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista), Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2

GHz for Vista), AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or better

RAM: 1GB (1.5GB on Windows Vista)

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or better

VRAM: 256MB of Graphics Memory

Storage: 12GB

Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible

ODD: DVD-ROM

OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista

DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

Recommended Requirements

CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better

RAM: 1.5GB

Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better

VRAM: 512MB of Graphics Memory

Storage: 12GB

Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible

ODD: DVD-ROM

OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista

DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

And for Far Cry 2:

Minimum Requirements:

* CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz

* Graphics: Nvidia 6600 or ATI X1600 - Shader Model 2.0

* RAM: 1GB

* Hard Drive Space: 6-8GB

* Optical Drive: DVD Drive

Recommended Requirements:

* CPU: Dual-Core CPU (Athlon X2 / Pentium D / Core 2 Duo)

* Graphics: Nvidia 7800GT or ATI X1800XL Pro (SM 3.0)

* RAM: 2GB+

* Hard Drive Space: 6-8GB

* Optical Drive: DVD Drive

What I have to say:

Based from simple deductions and comparisons, I can say that the laptop is able to support all the games you mentioned, at least at normal graphics settings. Also since CryEngine (the engine that Crysis runs on) is scalable many machines can run it.

Then again, I might be wrong, so do some more research yourself too just in case.

While you are at it, you might want to get a laptop cooler too, because laptops tend to heat up very very easily especially when gaming.

TL;DR Yes this laptop will be able to play the games you mentioned but don't expect them to run 100% smoothly (but definitely at a playable rate)
