Ok so I dont have the type of schedule that allows me to be able to play at night time and go to all the raids and events. So I dont like to play MMO's like WoW and stuff because in order to get the best gear in that game you need to go to the raids which last for hours, and I'm one of those players who likes the nice gear, but cant always get on when my guild would need me to. Is there any MMO's out there that dont require raiding in order to get all the awesome gear? Fyi I am aware you can run instances in games like WoW which are shorter then raids, but whats the point of playing if your gear is just "OK" rather then awesome? Not my idea of a good time.

It is really hard to recommend a specific MMO game, because everyone likes something different. A game I like you may hate. Check out http://mmohut.com for a gigantic list of these free mmorpg / mmo games. I use that site to find new games to play. Every few days I try a new game :) - It's a lot of fun because I try everything. They have like every single MMORPG categorized nicely with reviews, screenshots, videos and more. Heck they even list the game's system requirements!. Best part is all the games are free, which rocks.

Or you can just see a huge list of the games with scores, types, etc above.

Let me know if this helped at all.

Well, I have a similar situation like you, and I have been playing WoW for years, and I have good gear and am experiencing the latest content. It's really gotten a lot more casual friendly the last year or so. Don't get me wrong the people who are on all the time do have the cutting edge, get things faster, etc. but you can still be casual and experience end game content/raids.

Try Knight Online. I came across Knight Online when I was just randomly searching for a good MMORPG to get into… and it looks pretty good for a free game although to connect to the utmost of the servers during prime time, paid premium is required. The gameplay is awesome, and the would be the single selling point of this game, if it didn't have all the other things going for it. Leveling and hunting is so fun, and the party system is really good.

Try runescape it is a great MMO with no installation required and you have the option to try it for free before you decide to pay for the membership. The armour is easily accesable once you level up enough to wear it and you can make it yourself by smithing and mining or you can buy it at shops or the grand exchange if you want it cheaper. On this game it is less based on the fighting aspect although that is still there and more based on making a living by fishing, Mining, trading, or perhaps killing cows for their hides to make some leather and you can also make money doing quests which are sometimes short and even if they are'nt you can save your progress. I hope i helped and happy gaming.

S4 League is a good one. It's free to play, and I personally find it really entertaining. It's a third-person shooter and you're able to purchase your gear via PEN (in-game currency) or AP, which is acquired through monetary transactions.

The graphics are okay, and there are three different modes that you're able to play on. Touchdown, Death Match, and Chaser. There's also arcade, but I personally find it not to be that useful unless you're just trying to pass the time.

You're also able to create and join clans, but either one isn't required.
