Having trouble with xbox360 live, connecting and maintaining connectivity?

I just bought the xbox 360 wireless adapter, and having trouble with it, i have my modem and wireless router(linksys) all hooked up downstairs, and i have my xbox setup upstairs in my room, in the same room i have my computer which i receive good signal and it is too wireless, my problem is during the day i can connect fine, but when i play online gaming its kinda slow and glitchy, but at night i can get on and it boots me off and i cant even play online gaming at night it might show up some lobbies i can join but when i try i can never join, could it be my router, do i need to move my xbox closer to my router, and sometimes when i test for connection it tells me something different every time? Pleas help

First of all it depends on what kind of router you have. Belkin will work the best. Second of all you need a router that was made for online gameing.



for instance there is a g-router which is made for email and such, this will work but not well. there a re a few other but the one you need is an N1 belkin router



If you don't want to spend the money on a new router i suggest hooking it up directly to your router, thats what ive done and it works la tee dah wonderfully

some times it act like that and mines dont so at least put close about 15 feet or less or keep trying to get a good moving of your player so try at close range of your router and test it out. good luck

I would just buy a wire, because a lot of my friends bought the wireless adapter and it was screwed up, then they got a wired one and it was working just fine.

How many people share that connection?..the more traffic on router the more likely you will have problems...
