does anyone know if there is ever going to be a baldurs gate 3?

ages ago i heard there was and still nothing.

also any other good games like that u can recommend? not like never winter nights etc because the story line was not interesting and involved and there were'nt proper characters like in bg

There's been a bunch of rumors that BG3 is being worked on, but so far, there hasn't been any concrete evidence that the game is being made.



Dragon Age Origins looks like it's going to be a pretty good game.

As of right now the answer is not likely, the makers of the game, Bioware, who are now a part of Electronic Arts, however Atari now owns the rights to all Bioware D&D property which includes Baldur's Gate.

The ended the story so a sequel wouldn't make sense anyways.



It does say that Atari would like to "revisit" the Baldurs Gate franchise so anything is possible though.

Nah I highly doubt it, and even if there was, I wouldn't buy it... The company that originally made it went out of buisness, that's why the second one on PS2 costs so much (up to 100 bucks for a used copy) it's somewhat of a collector's item.



I have this dread of games continuing after another company takes over, as they almost always have a different overall vision, and it usually ends up being a completely different game, often one I don't even like, even though it supposed to be the next installment to the pervious game I loved.
