World of Warcraft invalid authentication key!?

Question

I bought yesterday World of Warcraft, after playing for about 8 days out of the 10 available in the trial. And since I wanted to continue using my trial character, I thought of upgrading my account. So I went to Blizzard's site, introduce the key and it says it's invalid. The thing is I can log in on my account on their North America exclusive site, and it recognizes my account as trial, but on the Europe users site I can't even log in, it says my account name doesn't exist in the database. I'm from Romania and bought the EU version and I think that's why my authentication key isn't accepted. I tried to call Blizzard Technical Support, found their number here 1-800-59-BLIZZARD (1-800-592-5499) but damn if I know how to dial their number on my mobile phone, it says it's invalid. So I need help, I really don't want to create a new account!

Chances are you started a US trial. Were you playing on US servers or EU ones? The US version won't recognize EU keys for the game or either expansion. They won't be able to move your trial character. You're probably best just starting a new character sorry.

k dont call blizz for one lol. they are no help... i think because it is a EU trail is why is not working. You might just want to try and make a whole new account. hope this helps. (go to Kil'jadeen realm its the best)

are you typing in the letters and number correctly? i know that sometimes theres ones and I's look alike. i would try messing with letter and numbers that look very similar. i don't know about yours, but i think all ours was in caps.
