This is going to sound really weird but out of Nintendo, Playstation, and Microsoft, which one is going to stay popular the longest? I am starting to hold off the idea of purchasing a Nintendo Wii due to the fact it almost seems like a nice secondary system to have. Not so much like when it was just N64 and Playstation. Any good ideas? Specs would also be nice.

PS3 Is free online play and a blu-ray player and the past has proven it's more "durable" meaning not to many problems such as red ring of death

Xbox 360 has a better online system and thats all i know that is better about it.

Wii is more about game play and has alot of family and mini game type games.

Wii is outdated, don't buy it.

XBox 360 is an ok system, but it has had a LOT of hardware issues. 360 does have the best online, but you do have to pay for it. Kinect is cool and everything, but its not exactly for mainstream gamers.

PS3, IMHO, is the best system as of now. If you wanted a Wii, you can just buy Move. It is better than the Wii in almost every way. PS3 also has Blue Ray, which is where it kind of exceeds Microsoft. Both Nintendo and Microsoft will have to make a Blue Ray gaming system. Why? Blue Ray > DVD

PS3 has free online, but its not all that great. Like now, PSN has been down since Wednesday night. But you get what you pay for. :D

PS3 also has the best exclusives IMO. Uncharted, InFamous, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Twisted Metal, Motorstorm, to name a few.

3D was also made possible on PS3.

XBox is a great system for now, but PS3 is better for the future.

XBox is going to have to make a new system to harness the technology PS3 already has.

When Microsoft comes out with its new "Blue Ray XBox" that costs $700, PS3 will be selling for $200.

The xbox (Microsoft) and playstation (Sony) are quite obviously the leaders at the moment, the xbox 360 is an amazing console I've had one for years and am not disapointed with it still, the games are great the graphics are awsome, and the online play is pretty much unmatched by anything out there. Playstations are a great system to though, I had a ps2 and my brother has a ps3 they have a very wide range of functions and the ps3's are even equipped with a blue Ray player, the online play is great and the market place is amazing. Out of the two my preference is still xbox, but that's just me. I have a wii aswell it's alright for younger kids, games are a bit lame and dulled down, but that's because it's a family console. Hope this helps.

Playstation is sadly crumbling due to more xbox sales on for kinect. Nintendo has come out with anything good since the wii and that was blown over by kinect too. Microsoft is failing too an Mac os raising up over. Sooo personally Playstation will stay the longest

Although Nintendo is in the lead for gaming (statistically a fact), the Wii is not worth it at all. The only good games for that bloody thing are Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros Brawl, after that it's a pointless piece of crap. Honestly you don't need to worry about the popularity of these companies, they are all pretty much equal. I don't think the three are going to be ahead or behind each other anytime soon.

Hope it helps,

well, Nintendo is always coming up with new ideas but Sony and Microsoft come back and expand on these ideas. I would recommend getting a PS3 for right now or you can wait for Nintendo to come out with their next big thing.

PS3 get online for free but xbox 360 has a better online community. And if your into the Call of Duty games, Xbox has some contract so whenever map packs or any downloadable content comes out for them, xbox gets them about a month earlier. Otherwise, Thats about it. PS3 is free but Xbox is definetly worth paying for

This is completely out of preference to your gaming styles. Perhaps try doing some research on each gaming system, evaluate the pros and cons of each, and see which best suits you!
