Can someone explain League of Legends?

Question

I have a lot of friends who play this game and I have to say I've been tempted a few times to try it out. Thing is, I have no clue what the game is about. I've watched a few videos and I think it's similar to Starcraft or something...

So can someone give a basic, simple explanation of this game? I just want to know what genre of game it is, what the objective of the game is, and how fun you personally think it is.

Commentors if you aren't going to give an explanation please simply let me know what you think of the game. Spam or simple comments that really do nothing will just waste both of our time.

You team up with either 5v5 or 3v3 matches to destroy the opposing team nexus (base) along the way to the nexus u have to destroy 3outter turrets located about a few yards from each other, then an inhibitor thay makes your creeps (allied monsters) turn into super minions then 2nexus turrets that guard the base...sounds simple huh? Well the other team objective is to do just the same to your nexus and both teams clash to fullfill this objective. You take the role of characters known as champions which have 3abilities(which can be upgraded 4times to be more stronger( and a super or ultimate abilty earned at lvl 6(which can be upgraded3 times). The player levels up by killing opposing creeps (minions again) and montsers located in forests surronding the 3 main lanes to the opposing team nexus. There are 18levels in all so all 5players from both teams will reach level 18 an thus getting stronger and stronger as the game prgoress eventually one will loose. Its quite exciting an fun everytime I give it 100/10 :D

It is a very fun strategy game that can last anywhere from 20 minutes to a little over an hour. The main game mode is 5v5 and the goal is to destroy their Nexus but before you do that you have to get gold by killing minions and people, and creatures in the jungle. With the gold you get items that will make the game easier. You also have to destroy Turrets that will focus minions and if there are no minions will kill you. They do a lot of damage and takes quite a while to kill them by yourself. After you destroy 3 turrets in one lane you can destroy the inhibitor and spawn super minions which are. Well super minions. After that you destroy the two turrets in front of Nexus and you win. It is very addicting but the players on there are not nice and if you are depressed and take things people say over the internet seriously then you should not play. However you can ignore people which sometimes comes in handy. Well if you read this I hope it comes in handy and if you get the game Good luck and have fun.



P.S. The game will be hard at first but you will get the hang of it as you play a lot.

It's a MOBA game there are 4 types of maps (Summoner's rift-The normal 5v5 map that every MOBA has 1 game takes about 35 mins, Twisted Tree Line-A 3v3 map 1 game takes about 20 mins, The Howling Abyss- 5v5 map where everyone is going in the same lane pretty fun 1 game takes about 20 mins, and last but not least Dominion-5v5 map unlike the other 3 maps/modes this one is different.In this mode you need to capture turrets/towers in order to win , unlike the others where you need to destroy the enemy Nexus / Base)

It is a pretty fun game, but the problem is that you are in a team with other people who most of the time will do anything just so you can lose. I give it a solid 8/10 .



I've been playing it from the beta release and every new season they are just screwing it up!

Each game averages about 35 minutes; you pick a champion and work with 4 other people to defeat the enemy nexus by destroying first their turrets. Personally, I think its pretty fun and addictive. I give it a 9/10.
