On the Xbox 360 dashboard if you have a live membership on the screen there are different advertisements for games and such are placed. However on my Xbox 360 dashboard none of these advertisements ever appear. Everything else about my 360 is fine the live works perfectly and nothing seems to be wrong except for the missing advertisements. Is there a reason why i am not getting them? Is there a way i can fix it?

was parental control setup on your console?

this might be reason why...

also, if you're broadband connection is slow, it may take a while to load these ads (although you should see empty placeholders with just an xbox live logo in the places where the ads would be placed).

They generally display an advertisment in the right hand window in the Live section to do with a particular aspect of live for that month. Sometimes there are no advertisments to display so the section is left vacant. If this has only been a problem for a short period then wait a while and when they update there should be something advertised in the section
