What are cracked games?

I was umm ahem a site...and uhh well anyways I was just wondering what are cracked games?

Well, they are usually games that are illegally downloaded that have a program in with the download that you may have to run. That program makes the game or program think or makes it FULL. It may be a CD Key generator or something that does something to the game/program to make it FULL. So its kinda like stealing a game or program from the store.



UPDATE: For the caught thing. Well, its very hard to get caught, but they might be able to get your IP adress. Though they need to be able to connect to you. You could just block their IPs though. Since when you download a torrent, the torrent program gets your IP. They would already have your city from that or so. They have many other methods (Some probably secretive.). Another method is downloading a torrent and uploading fake files which may be able to get a LOT of info from your computer, which can reveal a LOT about you.

cracked games are like torrent files, when something is cracked, then it must be a torrent, most torrent downloads are cracked..if you download certain games, then it can be cracked.

if you buy a PC game, then its not cracked.

I believe they're games with the anti-copy software removed so you can make as many copies of it as you like. They're illegal, obviously.
