WoW warlock question very easy.?

Question

im rolling a warlock and im just wondering if when you cast is the monsterssuposed to run up to uy and be able to hit u or what? i cast my dots and shet but they end up running up to me and still hiting me. im only lvl 8. so i noly got 3 attack spells.

PS- im just wondering thats all because i think my rotations are wrong idk. but i do have void up all the time to tank

yous DoT's wont prevent the monster from attacking u. if u dont wanna get hit heres what u do



1: withut yr demon. cast yr DoT then spam shadow bolt untill he dies. it should only take 2 or at this lvl.



2: with yr pet. when u hit lvl 10 if u pick demonology and u get a fel gaurd. at this lvl yr fel gaurd is a vittal dps at yr disposal. let him attack first to gain aggro then cast shadow bolts on the monster. it should be dead in like 2 seconds.



personally i wouldnt go demonology just for the fel gaurd. after patch 4.0.1 the best warlock spec for pve/pvp is destruction. so if u want go with that and when yr on yr own get yr imp out cast a DoT and spam yr shadow bolts. by the time he gets to u his health will be so low that 1 or2 more hits will kill him so u dont have to worry about major health loss.

When you start getting talent points, go into Demonology for leveling.



And don't worry too much about a rotation until you're around level 40, either.



Keep your voidwalker to playing as a tank, put your DoT's up on whatever you're trying to kill, and then keep casting your single target spells until whatever it is dies. -And- always send your demon to attack first, so it has time to grab agro before you.

LOL you are lvl 8.. You have no rotation..u press this and that.. Put Corruption on him and get your pet out.. im not a warlock player but if you have your Voidwalker use him..if not use the Imp.. use corruption and spam shadow bolt..

You get fear at level 10, which stops that entirely.
