i really want to buy a new DS game that i will really like. any recommendations? the games i have are: Pokemon Diamond and Platinum, New super mario bros, yoshi touch and go, metroid prime hunters, club house games, Animal crossing wild world, Spore creatures, Zelda: the phantom hourglass, Warioware touched, Nintendogs, MarioKart DS, and Mario 3 on 3 Hoops.
I really like adventure games like pokemon and zelda, but i also like the classic 2D adventure mario-like games.
Any recommendations would help.

Yeah, Pokemon games are great, so's Mario.

Kirby Squeak Squad is really fun. I imagine Kirby Superstar Ultra would be too, but I don't have that one.

If you like adventure games, I strongly suggest Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time. That game has a really great story line, and it's full of mystery. Don't wait to get Explorers of the Sky though, because it's a direct sequel. That'd be like seeing the sequel of a movie without see the first one. Or you could get Blue Rescue Team. That one's really great too.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is awesome too. But they're making a Mario & Luigi 3, so you might want to wait for that one. For these games, it really doesn't matter if you play the ones that came before them.

Super Mario 64 DS is good too.

Wow! You have good taste. I own a lot of these games myself. Hmmm....2D you say? Then perhaps you would like to try the Castlevania series.

Portrait of Ruin or Order of Ecclesia for instance. They are 2D, a classic Konami series often found on Nintendo systems, and it's all about destroying monsters and vampires.

If Castlevania is not your taste, then how about more Mario?

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is a nice title- and I'm sure you've heard of it.

Perhaps Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games so you can show Sega who's boss?

Professor Layton and the Curious Village is a Nintendo puzzle game with a wonderfully-written story and creative characters. It's a definite reccomendation.

By the way, are you excited for the new Zelda game? The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks? It looks like it will be a great DS title.

Good luck on your game hunt! :)

You sound like you would like final fantasy 3, 4, tactics, and chrono trigger DS,they are all adventure games and have the same amount of strategy as pokemon has, all of them are turnbased rpg games.

as for platformers (mario games) the only thing i think you would like is the mario 64 remake for DS
