Nope! You need to trade it with someone else for it to evolve into Alakazam, and then trade it back into your game. To make sure you can get it back trade with someone you know or if you're using GTS make sure it's with someone who's trying to also do a trade evolution so that way they'll want their Pokemon back and put that in your trading conditions! If I had Wi-Fi up I'd trade with you to evolve my Graveler but maybe you can find someone on here and get a friend code as I think that would work better...Good Luck!

In order to evolve Kadabra you need to trade it to someone else. Once you trade it, get it back to get the evolve form. The GTS system unfortunately doesn't evolve Pokemon.

Kadabra is one those Pokemon that need to be traded via local to evolve. Get some friends together that have D/P, and host a trading party. You and your friends will all benefit from it. Hope This Helps!

you can evolve it via trade, such as the way you evolve graveler into golem, you can also evolve other pokemon by trading with an item, like to get a rypherior, trade a rhydon holding a protector.

PS: it will not evolve in GTS

When Nintendo Made Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, They made the GTS so you could not evove pkms that evolve during trades.m You need to use a link trade, eiter wirelessly or from wifi w/friend codes

that is about 90% likely to NOT work

just get a trust-worthy freind to trade it to and trade back

if, you don't know anyone with pokemon diamond/pearl, then you will need to trade it for a kadabra the same level in GTS, and both traders will have their alakazam.

To evolve the pokemon Kadabra, you must engage it in a trade. once traded, the pokemon will evolve. then get your trader to trade back and you will have a alakazam. this also happens with haunter/gengar and machoke/machamp evolutions.

Good luck!

I'm not sure if that would work, you would have to make sure it's the same Kadabra. All you have to do is get someone nearby and trade it with wi-fi or normally, and trade back your Alakazam.

it doesnt work...i've tried it. however, if you put your kadabra up for trade and ask for another kadabra at around the same level, you get an alakazam that gets boosted exp, which is always cool.
