I have over 300 games for Intellivision, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy/color/advance, Sega Master System, Genesis, Gamegear, Turbo Grafx 16, PS1 plus an arcade cabinet in my basement.
So I'd say yes. I only wish I had the time to play them.
I know of people that go really crazy with collecting though, having several thousand games all complete in box.
Have fun playing older games. A great game never goes out of style.

I like the Nintendo 64 games still because thats what I grew up with and they remind me of the 'good old days' when I would stay up late with my friends playing The Legend of Zelda, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Donkey Kong Country, and James Bond: The World is not Enough.
But the 2D games didn't interest me as much but then again I didn't grow up with them.

I like the memory of them. I was very much into Twisted Metal when it first came out and I remember the hours I spent playing and how much I enjoyed it. I recently tried to play those games again and I just thought "how in the world did I like this? The graphics are awful!" Now that I'm used to how new games look, it's difficult to go back to the classics. But I still hold a fond memory of them (and now a new Twister Metal is coming out, I am beyond excited).

Back in the day thats all we had to play so of course if you ask someone was gaming as a kid back in the 16 bit era then theyre going to tell you yes, just as i would.I have a few megaman X/Zero games on my psp and i plan on beating them in the near future.
You gotta hand it to super mario though,if it wasnt for that game,i dont think the gaming industry would be what it is today. Its hard telling though
You really should read up the history of gaming sometime, its pretty interesting.
