I have Skyrim on the Xbox 360, and recently my brother has complained that his follower Cicero has disappeared. He presumed he was dead, and tried to get another follower, but that follower, and all the others seem to think he still has a follower with him, even though Cicero is no where to be found. On the Skyrim wiki the closest bug I can find is this:
Sometimes when the Dragonborn wants a follower to follow them they will say that they already got someone with them even though the Dragonborn doesn't have a follower with them. This bug is often triggered by the death of a follower or by fast traveling. To fix this bug the Dragonborn can: -load a save when their follower is with them. -open the console and type in "set playerfollowercount to 0". (open the console with ~ or ยง)

However he cannot use console commands, and has overridden all previous saves. Has anyone found any solution not mentioned on the wikia? Thanks for any assistance you can give.

If your brother did in fact have Cicero as a follower, i'm guessing he spared him during the Dark Brotherhood quest line instead of killing him. If this is the case then Cicero can not be killed and your brother can't choose another follower till he finds wherever Cicero is and dismisses him (this is because Cicero has become an essential character, and all such characters may not be killed). It way be possible that your brother accidentally had him wait somewhere and the follower is just waiting there till he is allowed to move. There is also another glitch that after you do the quest "The Bonds of Matrimony" then your follower can be found at the temple of Mara even after you have left and traveled around.

I have read that if you loose your follower because you told them to wait or they just couldn't find a path to get to you then you should go home and sleep for three days and they will either eventually spawn next to you or return back to where they came from (in your case the sanctuary of the dark brotherhood)

If your brother still cant find Cicero then i suggest that he reload a previous save. Remember to save often you never know wen a glitch might come along.

If you wait for at least 3 to 4 days in game time he should automatically return home which in his case is the dark brotherhood and if he is dead it should let you get another follower after the days you have just past other than that you will have to load a older save and continue from there :)

Aww. I kinda received slightly teary .=[ x 34953985/ yeah they arent the same. They've soo many fans that dont even like them for THEM the show in my metropolis was sold out in 2 MINUTES to individuals who understand yr 3000, children of the future, SOS, preserve on, and WYLMITE. Yeah the meet and greet factor is sad =[ i really do leave out Nick J is off the chain and Joes potent raps. And that i miss Joes hair. And now they under no circumstances make youtube videos, and after they do, they're funny but super quick and kinda boring. =[ they nonetheless give plenty of high 5's but now not as many as before.

You can access console commands by downloading Skyrim illegally. Considering you've already bought the Xbox version it is more then right to actually have a way to fix a bug.
