I already installed Half-Life: Counter-Strike and Steam...i can't play online!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I installed the CS and update it to 1.0.0.5. now, i just downloaded and installed steam and 1.6. i have CS preloaded, but i can't do anything with it. all i can do is just play PODbot 2.5. help ASAP!

Try opening your steam window, click on "My Games," and see if it is downloading updates for anything on there. If there are, either wait for them to finish up, or pause them by right-clicking them and selecting that option. If CS is downloading an update, let that one finish. This might fix the problem for you.
