***WOTLK LEVEL CAP***

Congrats you've either reached 80, or you're about to!

As a warning I must say that the first time you level cap, you will probably be quite jumbled by the overload of new things introduced to you. The best way to get around this learning curve is through veteran guidance and slow progression into features unlocked at the cap, namely raids, heroics, and arena.

***PVE***

- The first thing I suggest you do when you hit the 80 mark is to go learn your new talents, respec for raiding and pick a heroic to do. Since you've done these instances before it shouldn't be too diffucult to pick your first one to run.

- After you've chosen your heroic, head on over to WoW Wiki and read all the fights

- KNOWING YOUR FIGHTS IS CRUCIAL TO SUCESS! Be it a heroic or a 25s you MUST know what is going on during encounters.

- GEAR: Gear is essential to sucessful WoW raiding. Before you start picking up random blues that you *can* wear, but maybe *shouldn't* wear from heroics, I strongly suggest reading up about your class beforehand. Learn what stats your spec can make use of and which are junk. STATS: Know your stats! If you don't know what your stats do - then you can't possibly gear your character correctly.

***RAIDS***

- The order you will visit raids should go something like this:

NAXX(10) Naxxramas, in eastern dragonblight

VOA(10) Vault of Archavon, in wintergrasp

OS(10) Obsidian Sanctum, under the wyrmest temple

EOE(10) Eye of Eternity, in coldarra

NAXX(25)

VOA(25)

OS(25)

EOE(25)

Ulduar(10) Ulduar, in northern storm peaks

Ulduar(25)

ToC(10) Trial of the Crusader, in northeastern icecrown

ToC(25)

H ToC(10) Heroic ToC

H ToC(25)

- In patch 2.3, blizzard has confirmed that we will get Icecrown citadel and also that 2.3 will be WOTLK's last patch. See you in Cataclysm!

Since the latest patch you can do heroics and get pretty decent badge gear that's out, its more leet than some of the stuff in heroics/naxx 10.

Basicly you'll start something like this (roughly):

Heroics - 5 man

Naxx 10

VoA 10

OS 10

Naxx 25

VoA 25

OS 25

Eye of Eternity (10/25)

Ulduar (10/25)

and then lastly, The Argent Colliseum

You should be running heroics daily, and be buying badge gear constantly. Your highest rank emblems will buy you up to date gear, so use them.

(Naxx = Naxxramas, OS = Obsidian Sanctum, VoA = Vault of Archavon)

i'm unsure what you recommend purchase balanced in the context you're speaking approximately. As for suited dps in my guild raids our authentic melee dpsers are a rogue, a dk and a warrior (in that order, even with the undeniable fact that of those the DK is the least geared). except you desire to evaluation a clean classs, sticking with a rogue is a sturdy thank you to bypass. thus far as what's proper in a raid, it somewhat feels like ranged dps has a leg up on melee. On my server stability druids are in call for (greater for the buff than the dps, yet they do ok). And in that regard a druid could be a good selection besides, for the reason which you are able to play cat or bypass boomkin in case you finally end up having a perplexing time stepping into raids.

There's a general progression for 80s, starting with heroics, then to Naxx, and eventually to Ulduar. The quality of gear helps with a guideline. Check out http://www.wow-heroes.com/ ; look up your character, and yuo'll see a bar color-coded for where you should be at ofr instances.

When you hit 80 you should be running Heroics to get gear, then into Naxx to get better gear to do Uld. and ToC

Get into a guild if you haven't already and organize one?
