I was just wanting to know as i dont have the option to put chameleon on my armor and didnt know if you had to have Illusion as a major skill. I was also wondering if other skills affect the enchantments you can use.

There are only three differences between Major and Minor Skills:

1) Major Skills start at level 25, Minor Skills start at level 5

2) Major Skills level up slightly faster

3) Leveling up your Major Skills leads to level increases. Leveling up Minor Skills only increases your Attribute Bonuses at level up, they don't count toward leveling up.

You have to train up your Illusion Skill, but you DON"T Have to have it as a Major Skill. It can be a minor skill and work the same way.

The only requirement to be able to place a Chameleon Enchantment on any wearable item is the ability to cast a Chameleon Spell. As long as you have ANY spell (and you can cast it) that grants the Chameleon Effect, you can enchant any wearable item.

Try joining the Dark Brotherhood. If I remember correctly, the Spell Merchant in the Sanctuary has a cheap Chameleon Spell (it may be Night-Eye, I'm not sure)

You dont need a Chameleon spell this is what you do (you can only do it if your over level ten):

The shrine is west of skingrad

Shrine of Meridia

Meridia, Lady of Infinite Energies, is associated with the energies of living things, and has a particular dislike of undead creatures. Her shrine is in the West Weald region, west of the town of Skingrad. You must find the shrine on your own; no one will tell you where it is. You have to be at least level 10 to start this quest. Talking to Basil Ernarde at the shrine will begin a quest.

Hunting Necromancers

You need to bring an ingredient from an undead creature (Mort Flesh, Ectoplasm or Bonemeal) to the shrine before Meridia will talk to you. After you bring the ingredient, she will send you off to wipe out a band of Necromancers in Howling Cave, east of Castle Skingrad. The northern passage leads to a secret door and the 5 Necromancers are behind that door. Go in only if you are prepared for a fight. The Necromancers are aided by half a dozen or so undead not counting what they themselves summon, and they are loaded with potions so they won't go down easily. Stealth is recommended.

Return to the shrine after you've killed all five. The reward is the Ring of Khajiiti - a ring with Fortify Speed (+10) and Chameleon (35%) enchantments

Correct - Illusion needs to be a major skill.

But - remember - 100% Chameleon is considered cheating, even if you obtain it legitimately.
