im trying to get the daedric artifact achievement but i accidently kept the rueful axe and not the mask of clavicus vile. I do not want to redo the other quests so is there still a way to get the achievement? Its too late to go back to a previous save. Does getting an artifact on one character and one on the other count as a total of 2? Please help me!

The achievement is for getting 15 daedric artifacts

There are actually 16 daedric artifacts in Skyrim, but normally you can only get 15 in a single playthrough -- as there is one quest (Ill Met by Moonlight) where you can normally only get one of a possible two.

If you haven't done the quest yet, it may be possible to actually get both of them, so that missing one doesn't affect the achievement. The link below is for the PS3, but the steps worked on the 360 as well. Hopefully they haven't patched this.

If you've already done the quest, then you're out of luck I'm afraid. You have to get them all on a single character.

Oh man...that's unfortunate. Sadly, you MUST have acquired all 15 artifacts with ONE character. How far back exactly is your last save? It's better to load that than make a whole new character just to get the artifacts.

Same as what I said last time man, you need that mask. And they do not carry over. That's just the sad reality of not knowing what to choose, I did the same thing on my first run as well, don't feel bad about it, now you know where to get the artifacts and it will be a breeze (that is unless Meridia decides to never reveal to you her beacon :/) Wishing you the best!

I cant tell you how many times I have tried to get around this. In my case I had all the artifacts but the staff of corruption because I chose to destroy it in the quest long ago... so yeah you literally have to start a new hero to get it.

the two of the weapons will count quantity in direction of the success, it in certainty potential you in straightforward terms might desire to do each and all of the quests that offer you daedric stuff. so as long as you do all 15 of the daedric quests and get some variety of reward, you would be greater healthy.

In the quest Ill met by moonlight at the end, you can save the werewolve and after the quest is done you can go back and kill him, giving you both the saivors hide and the Hircines wring.
