Do you think people can get "too old" to play video games?

I was wondering if there was ever an "age limit" on when it's too old to play video games. I would just like some other opinions on this.

I'm not against video games and in a way I do see how it can help children. I think video games should definitely be played only in moderation and balanced out with playtime and physical activity. As for violent video games.. like Grand Theft Auto and the like.. I won't let me kids play THOSE kinds of games until they are probably about 16. There is a reason games like that are rated mature. Any decent parent wouldn't let their children play a game like Grand Theft Auto at 7 or 8 years old. So there is an age for everything. I would just follow the raiting system already created for the games.

No, I don't feel there is an age limit to playing video games. If it makes a person happy to play video games even if they're like 80 years old...they should go for it. Whatever floats your boat, but doesn't sink others.

It really depends, the wii is great for all ages but old pops isn't going to play for endless hours. What really matters is the maturity level of the person. A mature person that knows how to handle playing a console never gets to old to play. A 25 yr old who can play 12+ hours and forgets to eat, yeah, you can grow to old for that. The age limit would be about 18-20, when real life hits you in the butt. Then occasional playing is the only acceptable form of playing.

I would say no. I mean, if elderly men can still enjoy a hobby like building models, collecting baseball cards, playing with train sets, playing pogs, or something like that, why can't a forty + man or woman play video games if it is their hobby? I mean, that is all playing video games is right? A hobby.

Well, it can get a little odd to see a forty-year-old still playing, but with the Wii's release, that has become a near obsolete fact, since it has attracted everyone, even senior citizens, so to answer the question, no.

I don't think so. My parents were the ones who got me playing in the first place. My dad stopped because he doesn't like the 3D games, and my mom stopped because her motor function is compromised by multiple sclerosis. I think that my mom would still play if she had more control of her hands.

Um i dont think so really, but if it intereferes with your job and family, stop! lol. As long as you can handle the crazy flashing in your old age, go for it!
