As long as your system is plugged in, it will work just like leaving your laptop on overnight. Unplugging it and leaving it running with drain the battery and (eventually, as in a year or more at least) reduce the overall battery life.

If the LCD screen is off, you are in the clear. It will not damage it, that's why your computer powers its screen off when idle long enough.

Make sure the charger isn't near anything else since it heats up and could (POSSIBLY) start a fire.

This is very important, you must not leave it on all night! There was a recent report of a young boy's PSP catching on fire, not the manufacturers fault, however. You may want to take the risk however, I really doubt it will do anything other than heat up seeing as who it will be roughly 7 hours. It may damage it internally, it will not be completely ruined however...I suspect. Leaving the charger in will only ensure that it will not die overnight.

I do not advise you do this. As with leaving all electronics on for several hours, there is a risk involved.
