In Animal Crossing City Folk, how do I get a silver shovel?

I heard something about going to the city after 8pm and going directly right, but that hasn't worked out for me. Can somebody tell me how to get a silver shovel?

No, you should rather get the golden shovel. If you want the silver shovel instead, sometimes, at different times, the two pylons at the far right, by the street will be gone. Go in there, and talk to the Mole. He'll give you a silver shovel. A golden shovel is when you buy two shovels, bury one, 24 hours later dig it up. It's going to be there

The silver shovel may seem pretty awful, but it's far from it.

When hitting the money rock for bells, it has 10% chance of giving you 2 times the amount of bells, or around 16,000 bells!



Here's how to get it:



Go to the city after 8 PM and go right. On some days, cones will be blocking the path into the tunnel, but on a random day, the cones will be pushed aside and light will come out. (Keep trying until this happens!)

Go inside, and there you will see Resetti in the Surveillance Center.

Talk to him, and don't leave. Just keep talking until he gives you the Silver Shovel, and then leave.

Congratulations, you now have the Silver Shovel!

definitely get the silver shovel. Go to the city after 8pm and go to the right where the cones are. sometimes they are moved apart, go in and talk to him and he'll give you one. It took me a couple of weeks. I don't get the 16,000 bells hitting the rocks, but I do get more - usually one or two of the times money comes out of a rock each day it makes a different noise, and that part of the money is doubled.
