Cheap little console with weak mobile phone hardware. It's supposedly "open source", meaning "anyone" can develop for it, and this apparently serves as an excuse for every flaw it has. There are pretty much no exclusive games planned for it, but only a library full of mobile games and emulators. You most probably already own something more powerful than this. It's nothing but a gimmick.

It's an Android-based game console... that means that it's built on open-source software. The idea behind it is to encourage modifications instead of stamping them out like Sony and Microsoft do, and also encourage people who might not otherwise be able to develop a game due to the financial costs to get actively involved in development.
It's essentially a chance to do with consoles what amateur PC game devs have been doing for years.

It's a new gaming console which is made to 'bring mobile gaming back to the tv'. It basically has puny mobile hardware however it is supposedly customisable which is where the 'anyone can hack it' comes from.
