Well....I am on my official journey to 99 Ranged. I am currently 13,000 experience from 74 Ranged, and I want to find the quickest method to 99, so I don't spend too much time. Anyone know?

The fastest ways from level 74 to 99 would be:

Firstly: Buy a dwarven cannon, use it under the lighthouse (Must do Horror from the Deep), wear your best defence armour, barrows is reccomended and cannon dagganoths until you get 80-85 range. If you have high defence (70+) they wont hit you much.

Second: Once you're done getting to 80-85 range, you can start chinning... You'll need to have completed Monkey Madness.

Every time you go, you'll need to bring around 1800 Red Chinchompas, your best range armour (Defence is irrelivant, only thing at matters is range and prayer bonus as you'll be melee protecting), ring of life is suggested for first-timers. in your backpack bring 2 anti poison potions, 1 shark, 4 range potions, 20 prayer potions and a teleport tab to anywhere safe.

To get there, go to ape atoll, once you get there, walk through the jungle untill you see a dungeon, turn your melee protect prayer on, you wont turn this off until you leave, be sure to use prayer potions wisely because if your protect goes out for even a few seconds, you could die.

Run through the dungeon until you reach some skeliton monkeys. once you get there, throw red chins at them.. the red chins hit up to 9 targets and the monkeys spawn from their own bones, so if you stay there long enough, you'll always be hitting over 9 of them..

This method will get you around 170k exp/hour at level 80, and up to 250k/hour once you're near 99.

These methods together will cost around 50million. I did it this way only because I had money, if you're not willing to spend that much, I suggest buying steel darts, and throwing them at whatever monster you want drops from.

Try Pest Control! You're already getting exp. if you play the minigame and kill the monsters, but if you use all the points you earn from there, you can get even more exp.

The ABSOLUTE FASTEST way to 99 ranged is through chinchompas. It will cost you MASSIVE money, i'm guessing 20m but probably more. Go to Ape Atoll and go to the manhole with tons of skeleton zombie monkeys. Have Prayer Potions for protection prayers, and go to an area where there is a bunch of them and attack one. since this is a multi combat area, it will attack all of them at once.

(i'm aware jagex removed some of the monkey respawn rates or something so it isn't as much exp. but it's still thes best)

99 range can be achieved in a week.

Fire giants under Glarial's Waterfall (must do waterfall quest)

They drop great, (rune arrows, rune scims) and there are plenty of safe spots provided. Iron knives are another option if you don't want to use a mage shortbow.

Yaks upon completnig The Fremnik Isles give great experience at all levels, I use iron knives and my usual gear w/ accumulator

If you are low on money:

you will need to at least of started the quest freminik isles (the guide can easily be found on a runescape fan site such as http://www.runehq.com)

Then once you are at nietiznoit you will find many yaks in a pen near the start of the island with a bank nearby. Using full range void obtained from the mini game Pest Control or black dragon hide if you do not have full void, use bronze or whatever knives you can afford to kill yaks. (Make sure you wear Ava's attractor so that you do not have to pick up the knives (obtained from Animal Magnetism). Use range pots to speed up training

If you have plenty of money:

The fastest way to 99 range is to use Red Chinchompas

Buy yourself a lot of chinchompas around 5000 to start with and buy more when necessary. Buy yourself prayer potions around 50 and buy more when necessary. Buy ranging potions. Wear good bonus range gear such as black dhide Or range void (preferred) and wear 2500 or so red chinchompas. You are going to want to have 4 range pots, a Teletab (saves space) 1 shark (just incase you are hit) and lots of prayer potions. From edgeville head out into the wilderness to the north. Head west a little bit and north to the rift (chaos tunnels). Once you are in the chaos tunnels make your way to a north west portal (past the gargoyles). You will be in a room with lots of mummies. If you are not in the room with mummies head back through the portal and try another one next to it until you find the mummies. With protect melee on run around and gather the mummies. Once they are all gathered around you attack the ones near the middle so that the red chinchompas are hitting 8 to 9 mummies. This will generate a lot of xp around 200k an hour once you have a high enough range level. You will achieve 99 range very quickly using red chinchompas but it may cost around 60M to reach 99 from such a low level.

Have you done the quest monkey madness? I am pretty sure you have.

Do you remember the maze where you go underground in the maze and there is zombie monkeys.

Go there with prayer potions (hopefully you have high enough prayer)

Buy red chimchupas (or whatever they are called) and just stay there and use them.

It is very expensive but since the place is a multi-combat area and you can blow up the chimps on multi monkeys all at once you get lots of xp, the monkeys are pre-spawned and its basically like a never ending xp place :)

I dont think there is a quicker method than just getting rune arrows with mabye a magic bow or dark bow and just killing blue dragons
