sounds like the perfct game for you....there are 1000s of quests.... Most people do pvp untill level 80.... which takes forever....and you can also chose to play on a server that doesnt alow PVP... and you can dowload it off blizard and get a 10 day free trail without a credit card! how can you lose?

I played WoW for a long time and loved it. I hated PvP. You can be on servers that aren't PvP (by this I mean opposing factions can't kill you whenever) so you can just quest and do whatever. If you decide to do PvP, there are battlegrounds for that purpose. So no, you don't have to be into PvP to love WoW! There are tons of quests, lots of dungeons, and pretty much an infinite amount of things to do. Definitely worth the subscription.

Heck yeah. But, just in case, try the 10 day trial first. It really is an awesome game, and there are servers for PvP and servers for people who don't really want to do PvP but have the option.

I think that if you are willing to put enough time and effort in it. No matter what your play style is, PvE PvP RP or the like, WoW has something in it for you. Personally I prefer to do some solo questing or dungeons over PvP any day. Mostly because I suck at it. It's true that with the new WotLK ex-pack there is much more PvP involvement, mostly because of the Wintergrasp area, but you do not have to take part in it.

And if you really just want to get away from all the flamers and people out there that are in the game just to bug people, join a low population server, which are typically PvP, but I just joined Wyrmrest Accord, low population RP server. (being on an RP server doesn't really mean you have to RP :D I love loopholes)

Just make sure you don't fall into the traps of buying gold... Fair warning

join a PVE server and your fine- its pretty much impossible for people to grief you- and you can ignore them so you wont see their chat messages.

your fine as long as you stay out of their cities and if you dont attack them first.

the game really is fun, you can quest all by yourself, or you can get a group to run dungeons for better gear. i prefer to level alone, but you can join guilds so you can chat with people while your out and about.

if you need a hand to get started up, you can join my server and add me to your list, we can run some dungeons to get you set up and show you the ropes.

I've been playing World of Warcraft for years and personally think it's a great anyone game. If you don't like pvp then I'd say just stay away from the battlegrounds. There are regular, rpg, and pvp servers.

~Regular- You can do whatever you want basically and the other faction can't kill you unless you enter their territory.

~RPG- For people who like to roleplay like the manga/anime lovers. No different than regular really but helps if your looking for that kind of thing.

~PvP- For people who are really into pvp you can kill anyone anytime.

As far as questing, the quests are usually pretty easy, they just get repetitive very fast. There are achievments for boredom though. You get achievments for exploring, doing quests, pvp, etc. Great addition to the game. There's some that are just random like one called "To All the Squirrels I've Loved Before" where you just go around to the animals on their list and do the emote /love. There are also instances, my favs. For each level after 16 there are instances you can do. For those you get a group together and you fight elites to get to a big boss where you can get some really good gear. Main people in that are tanks, dps, and healers. If you're wanting to do that then you want to look into stating your character a certain way. Such as Spirit and intellect for a healer and stamina for a tank. The two factions consist of different races and classes.

Alliance:

~Night Elf

~Drenei

~Gnome

~Dwarf

~Human

Horde:

~Tauren

~Orc

~Troll

~Blood Elf

~Undead

Different classes each one can be are:

~Shaman

~Druid

~Warlock

~Warrior

~Hunter

~Paladin

~Rogue

~Priest

There are also proffessions that you can have. There are some proffessions that anyone can have and then there are some that you can only have two of.

Freebies(anyone):

~Cooking

~First Aid

~Fishing

Those you can have as many as you want plus you can chose any two of these:

~Skinning(skin for leather worker)

~Leather working(leather clothing)

~Enchanting(add stats to clothing)

~Tailoring(cloth clothing and bags)

~Mining(mine ore for engineering and blacksmithing)

~Blacksmithing(armor and weapons)

~Engineering(gear, blow stuff up)

~Herbalism(pick flowers for alchemists)

~Alchemists(Make potions)

~Jewelcrafter(make trinkets and jewelry with stats)

~Scribe(makes glyphs to aid you)

So whatever you're into it pretty much has it. If you don't like one thing then you can focus on another. Just entertainment.

Down sides:

~Requires quite a bit of space

~ There is downtime every tuesday for patches.

There are some who son't like it so I highly recomend a ten day trial even though it's really restricted it's good to atleast see it first. If you decide you want to play and you need any help just email me and let me know.

No, no. You can don't need to do PvP unless you really want to. But, I do suggest trying the trial first.

Obviously I love WoW, that's why I opened this question to answer.

There are many types of servers though. There are PVP and PVE servers. If you chose a PVE server your character in the world can not be attacked by the opposing faction, unless you are in a battle ground or enter the opposing faction's main cities.

This may be the option for you.

If you have time to kill then WoW might be for you, the game doesn't really begin until you reach max level. And your not limited to PvPing only though they added a more casual element to that aspect of the game with Arenas.

Truth is there are achievements which are for bragging rights (much like the xbox360 achievement system). This will continue your questing, you will and should go into a PvP server yet you don't have to which is a PvE server and this will ensure you will not get attacked when you are questing. However you may like the idea of killing the opposition if they are killing your quest mobs.

If you want to get to endgame quicker and you don't know anyone who plays WoW. I highly suggest you try and find someone who is willing to do a recruit a friend deal with you. For you can quest together and gain 3x the quest xp as well as 3x normal xp. This will help you reach endgame faster.

It is a fun game, but can be kind of repetitive since they made it more casual. Such as to do or not to do the daily quest or daily heroic, to do the once a week raid instances, or do a guild raid. To make time to do arena or earn some honor to kill time, or even play for achievements. Sure there is plenty to do but it is just lacking to what I can be doing in real life. Because I am tired of killing time.

I like World of Warcraft. I can give you several reasons.

Well for starters, I meet a lot of new people on there. Unfortunately, the guild we once had fell apart, it had over 200 members. A year later we reunited to form this 5 man private guild and we just run heroics together. So- even though I thought I would never talk to these people again we stuck together. It's weird. I got to know a lot of them even if I have no intention of meeting them in person- unless I just happen to run into by accident. That's very unlikely. I can almost tell you everything about them as if I knew them as a friend that lived down the street. World of Warcraft started to come out with better ways of communicating. As some people- don't like to use the in-game chat but I can't stand using ventrillo either. It makes my computer run slower even though I have a pretty fast computer. Plus- it doesn't cost extra money to use voice chat.

The graphics aren't great, but they're not bad either. I have no complaints- its better than runecsape where you look like a pixel. Ever since the Lich King came out, the landscapes are much cooler looking.

Leveling a charcter is not as hard as it used to be. Now with quest helper and getting a level 30 mount- it makes leveling quicker. There are areas that's a pain- I thought getting past level 50 was arg! On my druid that I have now which is level 60, I didn't run any dunegons. I just completed the quest. Gear isn't hard to come by too either. You can pretty much run any normal or heroics and get some nice drops.

There's more to do th an just PvP. Like I said there are dunegons or if you're like my friend he just likes to collects stuff and sell in the AH for gold. He then uses that gold to buy gear. I must add there are professions that can be a big advantage to your character.

If you do decide to go PvP, there are several battle grounds to choose from plus there's the Arena. Even if I lost in Arena, it was fun.

There's different classes to pick. You're not stuck wielding a sword each time. I have a Mage, and I love her! There are also two sides, Horde and Alliance. It makes things more interesting. Alliance has the rep of being full of kids but for some reason I like the Alliance better than Horde. Maybe because they don't look ugly. lol

Like I said, the game has a lot of stuff included in it. Usually when it starts to get boring they come out with something new to do. They also celebrate holidays and you can get funny little items. My favorite Holiday is Halloween on there.

There are several servers to choose from. When a server gets too high in population they offer people free transfers. They also have a US, UK, Latino, and Pacific. It's pretty cool.

The only downside about World of Warcraft is the monthly fee and the fact that sometimes Patches aren't fun. Every tuesday they shut down all the servers to fix any problems going on. It starts around 5AM and ends about noon. I'm at work or class so it doesn't matter to me. There are times that there's a big problem they can't solve and certain servers are down for almost the entire day. *cough Arygos cough*

Like you, I'm not into PVP at all, though i will fight the occasional player that attacks one of our cities! I'd recommend that you choose a PVE server, which means you can't be attacked unless you switch on the PVP option!

Also keep in mind that you can have up to 10 different characters, each with different strengths and weaknesses, from both factions, (Alliance & Horde.) I currently have 7 different characters, 6 Alliance and 1 horde, at different levels, so when I get bored with one, I just switch to another!

Hope this helps!! :-)

I'm not into PvP either but it looks fun and there is petty much no end to the "quests" in the game unless u go hardcore and u have no life at all. I like to spectate other ppl playing but it's slrite i guess.^^

I'm a mother, not single, mind you, but I like to play video and computer games. As for the e-rage, maybe she's an I-don't-tolerate-anyone's-crap kind of person and you just really set her off. Some people just don't do well when someone's picking on them.

No offense to WOW gamers but you are losers. My nephew now weighs 300lbs and needs exercise. He stays up til 4am in the morning with 5 computers hooked up with his friends and it looks like something out of a weird science movie. Honestly he is 19 and will never have a life now cause his social skills are now gone.

My friend was a friend then his wife divorced him cause of WOW

My wifes x b/f is not paying child support cause he wont get a job cause he sits in his mommys basement playing WOW on internet his parents pay for. He is 33

Dont get involved really.
