How do I beat Lance in Heartgold?

-Fire Blast - 0/5
-Sacred Fire - 5/5

Donphan *33 (fainted)
-Magnitude
-Slam
-Fury Attack
-Assurance

Ponyta(Flair) *32 (fainted)
-Flame Wheel
-Stomp
-Fire Spin
-Take Down

Hoothoot(Nocturne) *19
-Fly - 15/15
-Foresight - 40/40
-Hypnosis - 20/20
-Peck - 35/35

Now thats where I am currently at with the Elite Four I just have Lance left but I keep losing now I know it doesn't have to do to much on my team being weak cuz obviously I beat Gyms and the Elite Four with this team. I just need to beat Lance. Also I know some are weak like my hoothoot but hes still alive and is at where its at with the level so yeah! >.^ Thank you1 <333

I would suggest leveling your pokemon well into the sixties before trying again. and drop a few of those for more type coverage, get some ice and dragon attacks or even rock, i would suggest kabutops, poliwrath, or even lapras, just get one of those fire types out, not enough grass for them to be effective, especially when fire is a common type for more monstrous pokemon to get without being a fire type.

Get revives and the pp restore Barry's or medicine and then raise the lvl of the weakest Pokemon on ur team that's what I would do or you can have your team assembled on 1 Pokemon that u noe wud be strong enough to beat the elite 4 person by it self 6 Pokemon 6 elite 4 ppl I think so if you don't understand the second idea I gave you email me at [e-mail]

Catch a gastly/haunter, train it just enough so it knows these moves: Hypnosis, dream eater, shadow ball, and destiny bond.





With these moves, you can take down lance easily, just as long as you train it to at least lv 40. destiny bond is learned at a higher level, but the hypnosis and dream eater combo is very powerful and with haunters speed, he should always go first.



and train all your pokemon to at least lv 40, a lv 19 hoothoot wont do anything...
