Well before you buy one, try the free trial from the warcraft.com website. That way you can get a feel for the game before you spend money on it.

To start, i'll explain a little. This game if you commit to it will absorb a lot of your time if you want to do well, some people live thier lives playing this game but it doesnt really mean you have to. This game is a commitment!

Step 1: a working computer any type will do

Step 2: create a Battle.net account: to authorize your CDs to play

Step 3: Buy the World of Warcraft boxed game : you need the Auth code inside the box!!!

Step 4: Download: self explanatory (takes from 45min upwards to 2 hours)

Step 5: Login and enjoy

Order of Expansions

origional: World of warcraft : this is the origional WoW ( lvl up to a cap of 60)

TBC: The Burning Crusade : the first actual expansion ( lvl cap is raised to 70 outlans opened up)

WotLK: Wrath of the Lich King : the second expansion ( lvl cap is raised to 80 and Northrend is opened up

Cata : Cataclysm : currently in development this expansion makes 2 more races available for play (lvl cap raised to 85)

With the introduction of Cata the whole WoW will be chanhed for anyone who plays not wven the people who purchase it.

The main one you need is just called "World of Warcraft", i believe they also have something thats called "battle chest" where you can get WoW plus the Burning Crusade Expansion all in one. If you install both, WoW and BC expansion you can then buy the 3rd and final expansion "Wrath of the Lich King"

15 gb of memory, some good connection speed, and 1 gb ram. Personally, I don't have 1 gb of ram, even though it's recommended. I have 512 mb ram, and it runs smooth. Wow is a game that is in a fantasy like style game, with many options to the gaming genre. The world is massive and very competetive, allowing maximum freedom, and is never ending. It's very flexible, allowing many types of content, such as raiding, player vs player, and dungeons. Even though the maximum level is 80, the fun doesn't start intill then. It is very rewarding and satisfying because of the fact you gain levels, obtain gear, and use teamwork to accomplish these goals. It is a game that will keep you going for years because of the weekly and monthly updates, adding new content for free. Hope you buy it, though it requires 15 dollars a month, but well worth it

any type of computer specs (ram preferably 2gbs+) and 20 bux a month, don't let people fool you telling you that you need a video card, i ran that game at fine settings without one, and even if you have max settings, which i currently can achieve on my custom build comp, the graphics are only moderately better

yes as someone else mentioned, the free trail is your best option to test it, go to battle.net and register, then get the free trial
