How do you find the item you are looking for using the item finder in Pokemon Platinum?

I'm in Route 228 and I'm searching for the Protector to evolve Rhydon. I even tried looking underground!

You use the Dowsing Machine App on your poketch. Then touch the touch screen (on each corner) and if their a Circle thing that keep repeting itself their their an Item

Item Finder/Dowsing Machine allows you to find hidden items, which are not visible normally.



Anyway, Protector is on Iron Island in Platinum.

You need to use the dowsing machine app on your poketch. I like to tap once in each of the corners on the bottom screen to get a wider area searched.

If it's a hidden item you can't see you use the Dowsing Machine App on your poketch. If it's in a pokeball item thingy on the ground you just have to look for it.

You dont need the itmefinder to find the protector. Its in Iron Island, on the first floor, on the left side.
