try checking you internet speed on speedtest.net using a laptop on wireless and see what the results are.

it may be that you are too far from your server or that there are a lot of people on the same connection in your area. this significantly slows the internet speed down. and 5000mb is a lot to download in one chunk, it takes me about 3hrs to download 2 1200mb demos and that's on a 1.9mps download speed, downloading late at night when 99% of the people where i live are off line.

other than that it could be that your PS3 is too far from your router, or there is a problem with the PS3. can you try it round a friends house? or can you try it hardwired? try hooking it up to the router with an ethernet cable, take the PS3 to the room its in and use a portable to plug it in to of you have one, or get a really long ethernet cable from play.com or amazon.

if you can try it hardwired and its ok then its obviously a problem with the wireless side of the ps3.

oh and the error code i think is where you lose connection. i used to get it when my internet dropped out.

sorry, other than that i ddon'tknow.

The reason it's very slow is that your download isn't even half a megabyte, if 377.2 kbps is correct.

Sounds like you might need to port forward so that your router correctly communicates with your PS3, either that or you might need to reset your router.

I have an average download speed of about 8mbps (supposed to be 10), but sometimes this can drop right down to 1mbps. It's at this point I need to reset the router to restore connection speed.

If you still have problems downloading, try a direct connection between the PS3 and your modem (if the router isn't a modem as well).

Need more info. What kind of connection are you using? Wireless router or ethernet cable? What is the connection speed of your Internet service. Have you tested other devices like laptop or home computer?
