Been looking for a zombie survival simulation game to play but no luck. I'd like it to be a real simulation, where you have to eat and drink, sleep, build barricades, stuff like that. If anyone has suggestions please don't hesitate. I don't mind if it's a mod through another game either, like a zombie mod for Arma, which I don't know if they have that, but if they do please list it.
The only requirements I have is that the game be for PC.
A plus would be for it to be a LAN game.
No huge and obvious titles, i.e: Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising.
It doesn't have to be a zombie survival sim either, any sim where you just have to survive would be great. Thanks!

Well, I have 2 great games which you could try one of which you may have heard of, it has only recently come out and is in very early alpha. It's called 'Project Zomboid' http://projectzomboid.com/blog/ it's shaping out to be a very good game which involves simply surviving the zombie apocalypse up to your death, you will have to eat and drink and avoid gaining illness in the finished game but currently it only really tracks hunger and to a lesser extent illness. Currently you can get the game by buying one of their other games for £5-15 but the payment is essentially a donation as the games aren't very good and the dev's aren't in the best living situation.

The second game I can suggest is called 'Starnded 2' http://www.unrealsoftware.de/game_stranded2.php This game has no zombies but is an island survival sim where you can build a camp and grow crops/craft items etc. It has a adventure mode which is a pretty basic story and also a random island generator which is essentially just a sandbox. There are also various game modes and an island creator thrown in. This game is completely free.

All though both of these games are only singleplayer they're well worth a look at and it has been mentioned that Project zomboid will have multiplayer when the game is fully finished.

Hope I helped :)

I still find it surprising when 30 years old can't beat the Super Mario games i was able to beat at the age of 3. Interestingly, I think games at a young age help you to learn better and develop your brain. After all,In a video game, you are faced with constant challenges and problems, alongside learning new strategies. They open up your mind. Everyone needs a break from reality, a movie will do, but a video game will do just as well. They also satisfy moods. I know I've been very dissapointed and angry some days, so I come home and shoot some aliens in Halo. It always makes me feel better. Excess of everything is bad, however, playing video games helps you learn, open up and clear your mind, provide a stress free environment, and most of all, you have fun at the same time! How could anyone even consider them being bad?
