I moved my 360 to my buddys house for a night of gaming and when I took it back home and hooked it up and turned it on, the green circle light in the middle of the power button turned on as normal, but instead of the circling green light, a red flashing light appeared and nothing came up on my TV. Any suggestions? I don't mind buying a new one, but I'd rather not. Thanks everyone.

Red lights on the 360 are to tell you that there is a problem with your 360. The number of lights determines the problem

1 light = general hardware failure.

2 lights = overheating console.

3 lights = referred to as ring of death. Call xbox. (1-800-4MY-XBOX) You likely will have to send it in for repairs. (As I did)

4 lights = the video cable is unplugged

I bet you mean the entire circle as all 4 lights are flashing. If it's 4 flashing red lights, your AV cable is broken, you'll have to either send it to Microsoft for repairs or buy a new AV cable from eBay, but be careful, some items might be fake. If it's 3 lights though, your Xbox 360 is broken and the 3 lights are known as the Red Ring of Death.

If all four of the lights (normally for the synced controller) are flashing red you don't have the video cord plugged in.

If it is flashing three lights the xbox has experienced hardware failure. Call 1-800-4my-xbox, every xbox 360 has a 3 year warranty for hardware failure (three red lights)

This is called a ring of death. It indicates a critical hardware failure. If the problem continues Send it back for repairs. Microsoft recently announced that there are a lot of broken consoles. So they recalled them and extended the warranty. Visit Microsoft .com to get info on where to ship.

Dude, the same thing happened to me too a couple months. Here is some troubleshooting tips

-take out the hard drive turn on the xbox and see of it still works

-Unplug everything and wait a couple minutes

-Or if those dont work turn on the box and wrap a towel around it so u essecential heat the ciructs back into function

I had to send mine in to the XBOX fixer-upers and they sent me a brand new one for FREE (free shipping and everything). SO if those dont work just calll XBOX
