The server I play on a lot used to have this happen a lot. The cause was a bug in one of the mods they used that would cause lagging during spawning at the start of the round if people were talking on the mic. They eventually wrote a script to disable mic-chat during spawn-periods.

It's a server-side problem. Not much you can do.

I get this message sometimes when there are alot of people using mics on a particularly crowded server. Turning off mic-chat can help, but isn't guarenteed. If there are alot of people chatting on mic and you are already laggy, chances are you will get this error and a kick.

You'll get some "lag"--choppyness, particularly when a lot of action is on screen. Save money to build a new computer instead.
