The 8500gt costs way too much on Bestbuy. Newegg has them for 82 bucks, and 72 after rebate.

I personally would not recommend this card because it is fairly old and there are many new DX10 games that is coming out. So i would recommend you to buy a DX10 card.

The best bang for your bucks is the Ati Radeon HD3850, it is very closely compared to Nvidia 8800GT but at a much less cost.

If you want to buy it in a store, then i would suggest you to go to Frys Electronics instead. To me, Best Buy is a rip off.

Please do not listen to the user above me. ATi has its own advantage over Nvidia such as better price for better performance. Nvidia also has its own advantage over ATi such that Nvidia currently has the fastest card, the 8800 Ultra. The decision is yours to make, but i would recommend ATI Radeon HD3850.

Yes, it's an OK card, but it's TOO expensive at that store.

You can get a better card than that for the same price (8600GT) at www.newegg.com

If you want INCREDIBLY good gaming, get a GeForce 8800GT, it costs around $250-$300 though. But it's way better.

Your computer is listed as having one PCI-e x16 port, so it's compatible in every way.

the 8500 is good for those games. and your pc will run it well.. the GT series is better than ATI RADEON. if your on a budget... the GEOFORCE series is great too
