How do I dispute being banned from call of duty ghost?

I've never used cheat codes. I've never used any kind of cheating supports. I've never cheated. I don't have a mic so no one can report me for saying anything bad or anything like that. I don't know any other reason for why I've been banned but I'm 100% sure I did nothing wrong. I was playing Call Of Duty Ghosts online with my friend who was using my husbands account and was literally in the middle of a game when we were removed and I got an immediate pop up message saying my account had been banned. I visited the Activision Support website like the pop up said and there is no customer service number and the article didn't help me at all! I called the Play Station Network because my counsel is PS3 and I thought they could help but all they did was tell me to twitter them. -_- ... really? So I did so an hour ago and still nothing. I even facebooked call of duty. NOTHING!

THEY WRONGFULLY BANNED ME FROM PLAYING AND I'D LIKE TO FILE SOME SORT OF CLAIM OR DISPUTE!

Has any one been through this? Does any one know why they may have banned me and who I can call or what I can do to file a claim or dispute?

Please help. Even though they're customer service is HORRIBLE I love the game and would like to be able to play it without having to make a new account and have to start from level one again with their crappy start up guns. lol. Please help.

I've been banned as well, same situation, don't hack, not even a good player, been on activision and infinity ward facebook, twitter, and web page, always say the same thing, ban is final, look at the code of conduct. this is BS, I want my money back. It looks like hundreds if not thousands are being banned, I think they have been hacked and don't even know it yet, but I can't imagine i'll ever buy activision or COD game again

here is the issue.. thousand have been banned for NO reason but it doesn't matter.. its a glitch and they don't care.. you can call or email all you want and they say they DONT make mistakes… is what they say… they don't even KNOW YET ITS A GLITCH.. I got banned right around when everyone started posting yesterday. I've done nothing wrong as well and it seems like they don't care or don't know but I'm starting to wondering if they were hacked if they will do anything about it. I myself don't want a refund I just want to play my game. I'm betting that anyone who has been in a modded lobby is getting the ban. Not much a player can do there because you can be tossed right into one from the match making system. I'm going to give it a week and if I'm not unbanned I'm trading my copy in to game stop and then I'm never buying anything made by them again. Thats about all you can do at this point.

I agree with the this banning is wrong. I did not get banned by any means. A lot of people are wrongfully accused. My 62 year old mother in law that plays which is the sweetest lady since my wife plays and her husband. She has a kdr of .63. You can't tell me she cheated by any means. When you call they have no proof of the infractions. In America you are innocent until proven guilty as I am aware. They give no proof and brush it under the rug. I say the online community needs to take a stand. People are out of money from 60 to 100 if season pass and so forth. I say all people need to stand together and start a class action law suit against Activision for breaching the purchase agreement. Some people deserve it, but a lot of don't. Let's ban together on this. CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT.

my 13 year old son was just banned today too.. he has never hacked or cheated on any of the games he plays online... guess we'll all have to file a lawsuit against activation, infinity ward and sony to get anything fixed....



if my son HAD hacked his game and got banned, that would be fine, but he HAS NOT and WOULD NOT hack his game.. he has earned all the prestiges, camps, trophies, etc he has in the game... all you have to do is look at his kills, time played, K/D and see that it's NOT hacked...

Same here permanent ban, opened 4 cases via chat with Activision....basically telling me sorry all bans are final. Obviously something is wrong. I tried to escalate with no luck. I plan to call Activision HQ in Santa Monica on Monday.



Unbelievable that a public company can behave this way and instill policies where you have no course of action.

This very thing has happened to me today as well, possible claims for a class action law suit. Just like everyone else i paid for a game and various exspansion packs that i want a refund for. There is absolutely no reason for this permanent

ban i do not cheat, boost, or use offensive language. If there is any way to reverse or dispute the ban please post.

Okay, slightly different thing happened to me. My friend got his account banned and my console got banned too... I assume he was reported while using my ps3. He gets accused of hacking but this isn't true, he is a bit of a sound whore (On the headset, tends to shoot when he hears feet, rather than seeing the person first) I see why he gets accused. No hacks, mods or anything else has been used on my station and I know he wasn't doing anything wrong while playing CoD ghosts because I watched the 2 games of TDM he had. We're adults, we hate these games being exploited so why on earth would we do it ourselves... Activision really won't help with permanent bans, they are final apparently. If you can place a ban, you can remove a ban... It would be silly of us to think otherwise. I have no idea who to go to for help but I'm very annoyed, few hundred pound on a console, 55 for the game, 35 for the season pass... All down the drain because Activision want to slap a willy nilly ban on my console! Surely that's wrong! Legal action seems to be the way forward.

Add me to the list. I was playing ghosts on ps3 and before the next match loaded a message window popped up and said I had been banned. I checked Codes of Conduct on their website and I am certain I have committed none of these offenses. At this point I don't think asking for a refund would be going too far.

Same thing happened to me last night when I went to log in to play online...said that I was banned permanently. Never cursed, cheated, modded, glitched or anything and nor do I ever want to learn how to. Apparently this is happening to a lot of people. I this keeps going, this will be my last purchase from anything that is ACTIVISION and I hope a lot of people do the same.

Happened 2 days ago. Permanent console ban. I have a PS3. I don't even play a lot. I bought the game when it first came out and I'm only a level 26. Clearly I have never boosted or cheated in any way. I don't have a mic either. Does anyone know how to contact Call of Duty so I can at least b**** them out and at least get my money back? Same thing has happen to me tonight and all the research I've did the results said bans can't be appealed. I don't hook up my microphone, so can't say I said something, I don't use cheat codes or any of that stuff. I played two nights ago and as of last night, I too am now banned. sgtrocperine on ps3. I cant explain it, I never cheat, never hacked anything, haven't used my mic since c.o.d.4, and I a on my way to prestige 3. Nobody used my username and pw, nobody enters the mancave without me knowing, Nobody is here but me old enough to do such crimes. I have no idea what to do. I paid my yearly cod fee, played fairly, and now banned. What a great way to hurt the consumer and to lose customers/players. i'm innocent, and treated guilty of crimes I didn't even think about committing. activision avoids contact, but by taking an alternative route, you still get stiffed with the line "sorry for your inconvienince but we don't handle that, our security handles that over at infinity ward", but try to reach infinity ward and all you get is the option to twitter or facebook them, which u know you wont get a response. I loved this game, now my faith is shaken. If this problem doesn't get resolved where the ban gets lifted, best believe I wont buy another one of their games, ever!

This is ridiculous. I have a decent kill death ratio but I have never hacked, used mods, boosted or used any offensive language . I just play for fun and after a long week I come back to it saying I'm perm banned. A lot of people seem to be having the same problem I see so I just thought I'd post this. Yes, I have been through this. They banned me too (kp3012) without reason. They told me my ban was final and they didn't say at all why I was banned. I contacted customer support and they said they was nothing they can do because their online security team is GOD and all decisions are final. **** that. I want to report this crap as well. It happened to me too. I wasn't even playing online I was playing against the bots on the new maps I just purchased! It popped up that I was permanently banned. I've never cheated, boosted or none of that crap. I play solo all the time. This is a load of crap and it's unfair. I prestiged twice and was working on my third character. They need to fix this! Played a couple of matches on Friday night. Turned it off. Came back on Saturday morning to a message saying that the console had a permanent ban on it. Looked pretty much like the photo at the top of the article, except it was for the console, not the account. I assure you that we do not cheat/hack. I got in contact with activision, and they told me that they only ban accounts, not consoles and for me to contact Sony. I called Sony, and all was well on their end, they hadn't banned the console. They said for me to contact Activision. I told them I did and that they told me to contact Sony. He said that it must be something wrong with their servers. Well, I decided to try and see if it was a glitch/mishap on their end, and popped Ghosts in on Sunday night. And I was able to play online normally, the "ban" had been lifted. I do realize that there are a lot of cheaters/hackers out there, but not EVERYONE who has been banned is in that category. Trust me, my K/D isn't that of a cheater/hacker...

if you have a call duty elite account registered to your email.you will weekly/monthly get emails from them.the next email you get from call of duty click the reply button and tell them that you are innocent from hacks.offensivelanguage,modding,or glitching insist that they scan you console and your online account for modding ,hacking and keep on sending them emails until they unban you. i did that and they gave me the info on who reported me and everythingg ,i reported the player who reported me and there banned until they get enough money to make a new account,by a new console, and rebuy call of duty ghosts,but again i got reported for modding and i convinced activision to once more unban me,but the i really did get hacked by some stupid adult and they uploaded all different types of crap to my playstation 3 and now im banned for life.:( and around what time did you guys find out that you were PERM banned cause it seems that most people were banned from about 3pm to about 5pm

my brother and i got both got banned, on the same ps3? they cant issue a ban without identifying what we done wrong, the government cant give you a fine without proving your guilty, same law. my brother got a fine in the mail saying he flicked a ciggarette out the window. there is no actual proof other then a letter saying he did, and they gave a description of a tattoo on his arm, its not justable, its basically saying i can go around reporting players because i dont like them.
