It depends really on your budget and free time. A console is good for picking up a controller, playing a bit and then leaving. If your budget is low then I suggest a console. I play on console and consider the whole argument of PC vs. Console stupid. You're not gonna notice a difference between 780p or 1080p when YOU ARE RIDING A DRAGON BURNING HELPLESS VILLAINS! But if you want to play games for competition then get a PC. Don't get a $400 PC because it will turn into a volcano. If you're serious about gaming then get a PC because they're more versatile (i.e. you can build your own, use better sound with more speakers) but the graphics difference is a completely stupid argument and anyone claiming it's valid should be excluded from the argument.

Pc Is Better Than Console

i prefer consoles for exclusives and ease of use and IF you properly build your pc and IF it has the proper hardware it will outperform consoles however this will cost far more than a console and i don't really see the point in wasting the same amount of money that a console would cost when a big game you are looking forward to might require specs that your pc can't handle. such as the absurd Shadow Of Mordor requirements. The pros of a PC are pretty nice Steam sales and nicer graphics (assuming you have a properly built pc) but if you buy a brand new aaa title it doesn't matter what platform you are one it's going to cost 60$ anyone who says otherwise is a liar. and consoles do have sales the only game i have ever paid full price for is Fallout 4 and i got that brand new less than a week after launch. i also got a new copy of the Witcher 3 for 40$ and Metal Gear Solid V for 35$ if you know how to take advantage of sales from places such as Amazon or say even Gamestop you can save a lot of money.

Not exactly. As far as capabilities go, PCs are less limited due to their customization. However, consoles come with a certain ease-of-use that the PC doesn't have. One doesn't have to worry about system specs, drivers, or compatibility (usually) at all because consoles are for the most part uniform and PCs are not (especially considering many choose to build their own PCs over buying pre-build ones).

Aside from that, its more preference and opinion. Having recently invested myself in PC gaming, I can say that depending on how you set up, your PC gaming experience can be very similar to almost identical to your console experience, plus you get the bonus of having PC applications (console apps are good, but with PC I could go directly to the websites and use my keyboard). I like to use an Xbox One controller for most of my PC games excluding a few that are difficult to map buttons for. Its actually surprising how many PC games have controller support now.

Depends on where you're coming from. Spec wise, the PC is always better. Variety of games again goes to the PC. Price goes to consoles - they don't need quite as much power as a PC. PCs can do more. Consoles, however, are adapted to games - both with controllers designed for gaming (as supposed to the good old mouse and keyboard), and unique online play and 'party' features. Console games are much more common in stores (how often can you buy Minecraft for the PC in Tesco?). Hope I helped.

It depends what you like. If you just want to play games then don't bother with a PC. If you want the truly best experience possible, tweaking a game to your liking and getting 1000's of smaller, less known games, along with triple A games, the PC is you best option. One of my favorite things about PC is maxing a game out to it's highest graphic potential and seeing how smoothly it will run. Then I compare what it looks like to the console version. You would be blown away at how amazing some games look on PC compared to console when the graphics are ramped up. Take Fallout 4 for example. It's no secret that it's not the best looking game out there but with the use of mods and tweakable settings, it can look beyond spectacular. It's all really a preference of choice really.

Strategy games and first person shooters have traditionally been better on PCs. A gaming PC is still far too expensive to stay cutting edge. Consoles for gaming are much better these days, in the 1990s, during the early days of 3d games I would give PCs the edge.

PCs

Pros

Cheap games

More games

More game variation

More game control (mouse sensitivity)

More open (keyboard or controller)

Mods for games

Cons

Expensive

Become outdated a bit faster than consoles

Consoles

Pros

Cheap

Easy to get into

Cons

Yearly subscription (psn and Xbox live)

Expensive games (£50)

No

1.PC has better graphics.

2.You can attach a controller to the PC, so not being able to play on a controller is not an excuse.

3.It has a better framerate.

4.MOST of the big games have huge modding communities that add thousands of hours of replayability.

5.PC lasts alot more than the console.(If you have good hardware that is.)

PC is way better than console. Upgrade ghrapcis and storage. You can do way more than an xbox and PS. You can program games on PC and you get free online play on most games. I highly recommend playing PC more than anything. Best graphics N/A.

PC is better. Although there are less modders on a console, the PC has many pros. The graphics, firstly, are a lot better. You can get a controller for your PC, so having a controller isn't just for an xbox, playstation, etc.

PCs are better if you have a good one that can run any game. Remeber pcs can be used to play games from any console. But not any console can play any game.

Consoles are NOT better than PC. If you get a £400 PC you will dominate the PS4/X1 performance with it. A game like Just Cause 3 runs absolutely awfully on the current gen consoles, but on PC it is much better.

Any game, actually, on the PS4/X1 runs awfully. Like AC Unity, JC3, etc.

Video games are built on PCs than transfered to consoles.

Not nessesarly either. They love pc because it has the ability to griw stronger..at a price. Consoles are better in value. They have powerful graphics at an insanely low price. So consoles are good price and reasonable graphics. Pcs are stronger, but can get pricy and complucated for some.

Pc is no better then console, and no console is better then Pc! I switch from being a console gamer to PC gamer because of the freedom of the Internet and better communities of gamers. I also like the complexity of the PC. Now for console gamers its convenient and easy to jump into. Basically everything is given to you and you just have to have fun. Whichever it is the main point is to have fun and enjoy yourself. Unless you play competitively like me!

Yes and no. Consoles are better in racing titles although you can get a controller for PC. PC is better in the sense that it is more customizable to fit to your specific needs whether that be gaming, video editing, or just plain old web surfing.

YES. You KNOW that a game Will Play on the console.

It is iffy on the PC. Since there are so many different configurations of the PC machine You must compare the Recommended Specs of the Game to what your machine has, any minimum specs may not make for satisfying game play, and if you fail on one piece of hardware the Game will not play at all.

The only advantage of the PC is allowing the Modification of the game, IF the machine can play the game at all.

Possibly, but due to specifics. Not really. A game console is limited by it's programing. A PC isn't so limited. Assuming that you know the specs of your gaming rig, you can have only limitations of what "guts" are in your home computer.

The limitations are up to the person building the framework that runs the programing.

Pc has better graphics and crazy mods, but its a headache handling everything if youre not good with computers. Consoles are much simplier and cheaper which is why they sell more

Consoles are limited to graphics quality. Because there is always a limit to what you can fit on DVD. PCs are not limited to graphics so I prefer PC gaming

Depends what you want to get out of them.

For the purposes that I want to achieve, a desktop PC and / or a laptop are far better options than consoles, tablets, smart-phones or whatever other alternatives you might wish to consider.

It depends in what way. The obvious perks of consoles are things like range of AAA titles, (more) secure multiplayer networks, cheaper buy in price and the security that games will run without hassle. However on the other hand PC are potentially much more powerful, are customizable, support mods, have a wide range of indie titles and have cheaper games.

No. PC has more exclusives, you can use a keyboard or a joystick, better graphics, framerate, mods are free, the deals are better on steam , online gaming is free, etc. This is coming from an Xbox guy.

It depends largely on the games that you want to play. I play Dark Orbit and SWTOR (Star Wars the old republic) online on my PC. But I also play Elder Scrolls on my PS4. I enjoy the PC more only becuause it is easier to us and navigate in the would you are in and you are not so limited with the controls.
