Call of Duty 4 gameplay lag problem (both online and single player)?

When playing CoD4, there is an enormous lag on the controls. Moving the mouse is a hassle, and even smoothing it in the options and such doesn't help. Also, regular movement is just slow and blocky, even in single player. On my Windows XP computer CoD4 worked like a dream, but on this new Windows 7 one its so laggy its unplayable.

you should check the back of the box that cod came and see which software it supports, most pc games support xp/ vista. since windows 7 is a new software pc games have difficulty running on them. Also what type of PC do you have?, what are the specifications for your PC all these could be a contributing reason to why your pc is lagging.

Lag is due to a lot of things, low graphics card, non-updated drivers, slow processor. You get the idea. What are your specs for your windows XP and Windows 7 ?

Polez is right it might be something in ur pc that cant support cod4..under the box it says system requirements...if u kno what u bought make sure ur system has the right things for it otherwise it might start lag

Well Windows 7 uses around 1GB of RAM...maybe that's why! you can upgrade if that's the case,



otherwise your graphics card maybe outdated.
