Honestly I wouldn't. Me, and most of the people I play with, can't stand the people who mod. If you are bad at games, oh well. And then all your stats and everything you earned in all your games won't mean anything because you didn't earn them.
Also, Microsoft is aware of the mods that are out there and if you xbox 360 has any issues where it needs to be fixed (ie. red ring of death, other such hardware problem), and if they can tell anything has been modded, they will viod your warrenty.
Also, if people online suspect your modding, they will file a complaint against you for tampering. Xbox live will send a representative (sometimes) that will join your games (you won't know because they have regular gamertags and everything) and can tell when you modded. Usually the file complaint system is automated and xbox doesn't check it so if 6 people (i think it's 6) file the same complaint on you, you will be banded from xbox live and xbox can't do anything about it. Microsoft has gotten very good at catching people who mod. If they catch you, not only will your gamertag be banned but your console as well and you'd have to get a new console to play online.

I know it seems like a good idea but what many don't know until they get their systems modded is that when you go on xbox live the people who run live can see that your system is modded and ban you from xbox live. Happened to the boyfriend of this girl I know. So unless you have absolutely no desire to play on live don't get your system modded.

i will go with poopy #2 if it requires for the console to be opened i don't think you should get it. if it F**ks up at least you only have to replace your HD not the whole console.

yes do it. If you open the console with a sledge hammer it will work better.
