Best Games for a bad computer?

Question

I have a bad computer, and I love gaming. What are some good games that my computer can handle? I don't really care when they were made or what genre. :)

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.40 GHz
1.5 GB RAM
Intel 82845g Graphics Controller(64 MB of Video RAM)
DirectX 9.0
44.2 GB Hard Drive Space

Go to the Indie Game Database... they've got all sorts of good stuff there... most of which doesn't require a good computer, and several of the games are actually free!

There's a string you can type into your command prompt to run Minecraft with more RAM, but I can't remember what it is so you'll have to google it. Also, Penumbra is a run-and-hide survival horror game that I know uses very little RAM and can run well on old and slow computers like mine. The Sims doesn't use much RAM either.

Terraria is brilliant its like minecraft if you've heard of it and runs on bare minimum computers, t has more content than minecraft, looks better and plays better. Obviously this is my opinion but for just 3 GBP you can get it on steam now.. Very cheap.

There are a lot of great classic games. Try the original Serious Sams if you like FPS, old adventure games (i.e. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Kings Quest) they work on anything :P, the original Tomb Raiders and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time should work if you like platformers. And most casual games should work if you really have to stoop that low (i.e. Bejeweled).

STALKER series: there are 3. ALL are amazing. FPS & RPG. a dark game with perfect style and graphics, which your "bad" computer will perfectly run all of them



FALLOUT 3: another FPS & RPG. also amazing and i think your pc will run it too



the elder scrolls: oblivion- it goes behing skyrim, its fps and i think you can also switch it to a 3rd PS



FARCRY: good game. i guess you heard about it. it will fly on your pc



XENUS 1 & 2- FPS, 3rd PS. free world, free to talk to ANYONE, work for ANYBODY, have certain level of relationship, and many many other possibilities



HITMAN series: you can start directly with last one BLOOD MONEY- my favourite game, i have passed it about 6 times and still wish i could play it again, it is as 3rd as 1st person shooter. there are many, many different ways in pass this game, thats why it can be "replayable"
