I'm level 22 in A-spec, but haven't tried B-spec yet.
The best cars in my Garage, all upgraded with the best parts are:
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '09
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08
Ferrari 458 Italia '09
Aston Martin DB9 Coupe '06
Lamborghini Countach LP400 '74
Jaguar E-TYPE Coupe '61
Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (C1) '54

So what should my next purchase be? I would like to get something like a Pagani Zonda R '09 and I currently have 2,413,950 Cr.

I agree with you , you should get a Pagani Zonda R . It has very good handling and very fast acceleration. I would also suggest Honda Epson NSX race car (premium). It is very good and only costs 950,000 CR. But if you are willing to save up to 10,000,000 CR I suggest getting one of the Ferrari F1 cars.

Hey, I would strongly suggest going for the mclaren F1 its 1mill n with a couple hundred grand in tuning and improvements its a very fast car, im only lv 21 but this car is very fast n also a handful, make sure you get racing soft tyres n a wing on the back to help with grip and downforce, it will easily sluaghter the polyphony cup

Another great car (going by prolouge) is the GT40 (Gran Turismos version) its level 23 i think but costs 3,600,000 Cr. It was by far 1 of the best cars in proluge and im assuming its going to be very good in GT5

Going into arcade mode may help as you can test drive a few of the cars there before buying, unfortunately auto save is stuck on so once you by a car by the time you've drove it and found weather you lyk it the games already saved n your stuck with it

Last little thing there are 3 race cars that are 20 million each i think there the fastest (beside the F1 cars n the X1 car) pretty sure you can with 1 of those 3 cars in the later cups if you come 1st (not 100% but i heard that) good luck and good racing

I'm not sure if this is the best car for the purpose, but I would try to find a Dodge Viper Team Oreca Race Car (~1.9-2m) at the Used Car Dealership, and apply all available upgrades, including Racing Soft tires. I went through several cars and had trouble with the Like The Wind series until I tried the Viper RC. Its acceleration isn't anything special next to cars like the Bugatti, but its handling is amazing.

If you win the A-Spec Like The Wind series, you get a Toyota Mintola (sp?) Race Car which, when upgraded and oil changed, has something like 1040hp and weighs well under 1000kg. I haven't raced with anything that can compare to this car yet, and I easily won several series with it. Your B-Spec driver will need overkill like this to win some of his/her races, especially as you get to the Expert and Professional series.

Nice collection of cars btw but what car you should save up for is the Red Bull X1. Its $20,000,000. Unfortunately its alot and takes quite some time to earn it. But if u can get ur hands on this car there is nothing than can come close to beating you. Also you need to be level 23 in A-spec but race the American Championship. It takes about 4-5min including wait time together to finish but you get 98,000cr from 1 race and its the fastest way to earn cash.

My favourite car is vauxhall calibra super touring car '94 579pp And most touring cars handle a lot better than other cars with same pp level. Another good one to look out for is the chaparral 2J race car. It cost 16mill but it is a great car. No one can tell you what car you will like though. Some prefer ff fr 4wd mr etc just buy some cars and you will find your style. I don't own the Citroen gt car it never really appealed to me but I have driven it and it was better than I expected it to be.
