i've tried to download the flash player but it doesn't recognise the playstation 3 web browser

You cant because the PS3 has an Internet Exlorer which has a low upgrade on it (meaning an old Internet Explorer), I dont exactly know all the details, but its along those lines

similar thing happened to mine yesterday wrote to ps3 this morning waiting for reply
