You can downgrade and upgrade your PSP. If you charge it completely and leave it charging, you can connect with wirless internet and download the latest update. If you want to downgrade your PSP, you have to download a file from your computer, follow the directions it gives you and put it on your PSP, and it will basically crash your PSP and downgrade it to how it was the day you got it. Hope I helped!!!

Umm... I haven't found any bugs on my 3.40 OE-a firmware, and all my homebrew works fine, so I wouldn't say it's the fault of the firmware. Turn your PSP all the way off (not to standby), and go to the Recovery Menu by holding the Right Trigger when you turn it back on. Go to "Configuration ->" then "Game folder homebrew", and press X until it says "(currently: 1.50 Kernel)". Put your 1.50 homebrew in either MS0:\PSP\GAME or MS0:\PSP\GAME150 and most of it will work. Unless, of course, you actually have SONY's Official 3.40 Firmware and have no clue what it is you're doing (no offense, just wouldn't be the first time it's happened).
Otherwise, when all else fails, 99% of the time the author of said homebrew will include a readme file with the download. It's always a good idea to read these before installing the homebrew in case there's any pertinent information in there. Hope this helps.

I think you would need to put the homebrew in the GAME150 folder and not just the GAME folder. I'm not sure which one you are putting it into but try that.

U can update the version of the psp into newer ones on the psp menu. (Make sure that u have to charge the psp).

there is unquestionably no longer something sturdy approximately upgrading... I made a mistake on upgrading to version 3.51 (I cant play homebrew anymore) yet i became shocked that no downgraders have been attainable and sony only releases V3.fifty two. i think of that each and every time Sony releases a .01 bigger version they are only patching up exploits and techniques for hackers to pass around their UMD obsession.
