Alright I just played bf3 for the first time in the ps3. When I flew a jet I imedatially crash. Then about the 5th time I got shot by a camping sniper in the top of the mountain. Then everytime I fly everybody kills me. Is there a way to practice? Some tips? Oh yea can I change the jet controls to exact same controls as the planes controls in battlefield 1943? I was like a pro flying in that game. Thx.

Well, for flying, you can change the controls to inverted so when you move up with the joystick, you move up. When people are locking on to you, fly away to the open, and when you hear a fast ticking sound, use your flares. Many people use their flares too early. For air combat, follow your enemy's every move, and when you get the dot a bit past your target, fire, and you will most likely get a hit marker, and then repeat this step till you kill your enemy. For Air-To-Ground combat, fly quite high, then fly down but steady, find a jeep or tank, aim, shoot in short bursts, then pull up. For killing attack helis, fly straight at them, shoot, then when you get too close to them, fly under them or above them. Once you unlock the heat seekers, then air combat will be easier for you. When you unlock the guided rocket, and the rocket pods, Air-To-Ground combat will be easier. When taking out enemies with your heat seekers once you unlock them, lock on, stay locked on, wait for them to use their flares, and once they use their flares, wait about 5 seconds, then shoot. All of this will come naturally, and then, you will get 3 service stars like me! Good Luck, and Happy Flying!

i don't know what the BF1943 controls were but just experiment with them and find the combination that suits you, my advice is to always be moving whether simple turns, swaying side to side or up and down whatever. also, slow down going into a turn and then a quarter of the way through, begin to accelerate. remember when shooting to always lead the target. if an enemy is on your tail don't just keep turning one way, pitch up do a half loop and then roll and dive to the left or right. small changes like that can keep an enemy off your tail long enough for you to reverse the tides and light him up

Just keep spawning inside those jets, there isnt a way for you to train alone. Practicing online can be tough but keep at it, and hold right trigger to throttle and keep your speed up so you dont crash
