when the players are all loading the game at the beginning right after character select... the characters that were chosen show up in a loading screen. my characters in that screen are all just blue blank spaces. then I crash getting the bug report that follows...

Crash Report #688024

If your game crashed after displaying a blue box in place of a character portrait in the loading screen, it may be from some assets being missing or corrupt. Please try Repairing your install in the PVP.net launcher. The Repair button can be found in the Options menu, which is opened with the gear icon in the upper right of the launcher window. It will take a few moments to do a full scan. If you run repair to completion and this error still occurs, please re-submit the bug report and note that you tried repairing and it did not fix the issue. This will help us in tracking down and fixing the bug. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you, Riot Games Engineering

I followed these instructions and they did not fix anything the issue persisted I have a bug report in with them as well ... its been 6 hours and no response from them I assume they're busy. either way I've been having this issue for two days on two different computers. I've followed all the "solutions" I've found on every forum I could find pertaining to this issue. none of them worked. I found a person that said minimize the game and have someone tell you when its loaded... the game automatically comes up when its loading theres no way around it.

No I haven't solved it yet but from the so called solutions to this problem I've read about involve reinstalling graphics drivers, reinstalling the game, buying a new graphics card, and other such nonsense that hasn't worked ... I refuse to buy a new graphics card though ...

Windows 7 Ultimate on both. it is not a Blue screen of death it is just a blue background where the character templates should be showed then the game crashes not my pc... just the game.

recent update: the error changes to "your graphics do not support Pixel Shader 2.0" if you try to start a match while the laptop is closed... any good theories or ideas would be helpful anything ... please even if you think it sounds stupid... even if you think its common sense... jot it down please.

That's odd... Your specs are more then adequate to run League of Legends... Have you tried running the game as an admin? Did you install it as an admin? Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode?

Make sure your computer is not overheating. Turn on the air conditioner in the room in order to control the CPU temperature. In addition to this, remove the dust located on the fans fixed inside the CPU. In addition to this, download Reginout Registry Cleaner and scan the registry. Fix the problems that found in it.
