Evolution stones in Pokemon Emerald?

Question

Besides shards in Emerald, are there any other ways to get evolution stones? I know that you can obtain a Sun Stone from a solrock and a Moon stone from a Lunatone (But not in Emerald)

So I guess my question is "Can you get shards/stones from Pokemon?"

Yes pokemon do carry shards on them. Grass pokemon near Mossdeep city like oddish and gloom can be found holding sun stones if that's what your after.

also adding to the previous answer you can find a thunderstone by the generator in new mauville



also a fire stone is in the feiry path when you move the boulders on the left



in the main room in meteor falls there is a moon stone sitting in the top left



in mossdeep city you talk to the old man in the space center he will give you a sun stone



there is a leaf stone south of fortree down by the river
