how do i create an epsxe memory card file?

I downloaded the latest version of ePSXe (its 1.8 by the way). I got all the plug-ins and configuration. But there was nothing in the memory card folder other than a delete.me file. Obviously I have to delete him. But how can I create a card file to put in the folder to use for saving my games? And no, save states are not an option for me, because I am going for the more nastalgic approach and saving only where the game developers initially intended on saving.

I had problems with this as well. This is happening because the memory card configuration isn't correct. For me, I had all my emulator's and games on a flash drive. So when EPSXE was trying to locate the file it wouldn't work. You have to go into the Configuration menu and go to memory card. From there you need to delete your file path and create a new one. What you want to do is open up the folder you want the saves to be in. EPSXE has a memory card folder. So wherever you have your EPSXE saved you can create your file path. For me the file path is F:\PlayStation\ePSXe200\memcards. We are not done yet though. Once you have the file path you must add this onto the end of it \epsxe001.mcr. So for my memory cards I have the configuration of F:\PlayStation\ePSXe200\memcards\epsxe00... You can open up my computer and follow the path to the memory card folder you should have a file called epsxe001.mcr. If the file isn't there you haven't configured the memory card correctly. You can also change the epsxe001.mcr to a different number Example: epsxe002.mcr. This way, you have access to multiple memory cards. I hope this helps everybody, because when I searched I couldn't find an answer to my problem. I have to figure this one out for myself.

go to the configuration, find the memory card thing, and it should tell you how to create a memory card. i believe it was you just clieck the buton with ... on it and choose a file location, after you find the spot u want the memory file to be, you just click save or whatever.
