Halo 3's achievements are not working?

I got my xbox about 8 - 9 months ago, shortly after that i bought halo 3 brand new and when i got home it already had scratches on the disk and the book was ripped a bit. some of the achievements are working like finishing levels but achievements like "to close to the sun" which you need to destroy a banshee with a missile pod or spartan laser which i did the the spartan laser but it did not come up as i have done that achievement i also tried it twice. i also had to destroy a vehicle with 3 enemies in it and i did that about 5 times but it did not count as an achievement. I'm not sure if im doing anything wrong or its the game but i need some help to figure this out.

I'd say playing Halo, the ORIGINAL Halo on Legendary is very good practice. I'm assuming you mean FPS. First person shooters, everything else is easy.



Multiplayer, hard difficulties, and try some B12 vitamins.



Nicotine patches, (Don't use these all the time) can enhance concentration, and keep you awake; rather than those energy drinks that make you sluggish...and make you crash.

the devil is in the details.



too close to the sun - you need to do in campaign or ranked multiplayer but its easier in campaign. best level to do it is the third to last level (three gates?) if it doesnt work on easy, do it on normal.



the second one you said, you need to the vehicle, not just kill the guys in it.
