Runescape wont work in client?

Question

I have a mac, and the game doesnt work while im on a browser, so i downloaded the client and it wont work ether! the client opens. loads to 99% then gives me the message "Uncaught exception in main method: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file" and yes ive tried re downloading it

Do you have the newest version of Java? If you don't I suggest updating it, but if that doesn't solve it then it might just not be compatible with Mac.

Hi i am an experienced runescape player and that same thing happened to me, i put the runescape client on a higher priority to get it to work to change your focus go to task manager, then click on processes, then scroll down until you find jagexlaucher and then right click it and select set priority (i set mine on high) then you might want to update java. I hope this helps :)
